EngineeringConsultingGroupCorporationfromtheoriginalnationalstandard,GB50060-1992

PrintingandDistributingthePreparationandRevisionPlanofNationalStandardsfor

2004(Jianbiao[2004]No.67)issuedbytheformerMinistryof

Construction.

Duringtherevisionprocess,thedraftingpanelhasmadeextensiveinvestigationandresearch,

Thiscodeisdevelopedforthedesignof3-110kVhighvoltageswitchgear(switchgearin

short)thatistobesafe,reliable,technicallyadvance,costeffectiveandeasilyoperationaland

maintainable.

Thiscodeappliestothedesignofnewlybuiltandexpanded3-110kVHVswitchgear.

IndesigningHVswitchgear,theequipmentshallbeselectedandthelayoutschemethereof

shallbeestablishedreasonablyaccordingtopowerloadcharacteristics,capacity,ambientconditions

aswellasrequirementsoninstallation,operationandmaintenance.Iftechnicallyandeconomically

feasible,electricalequipmentandmaterialswithhighefficiencyandlowenergyconsumptionshall

beused.

Theswitchgearshallbedesignedbasedonthecharacteristics,scale,anddevelopmentplan

ofindividualprojects,takingintoaccountboththelongtermandshorttermplanswhile

highlightingthelatterandreservingspaceforfutureexpansion.

Switchgearmustbedesignedwithaminimumuseofland.

Thelayoutofswitchgearandselectionofconductors,electricalequipment,andgantries

shallmeetthesafetyrequirementsduringnormaloperation,installationandmaintenanceandinthe

eventofshort-circuitandovervoltageunderlocalambientconditions,andshallaccommodatethe

systemcapacityplannedforthecoming10-15years.

2.0.2

Thephasesequenceofindividualcircuitsofswitchgearshouldbeconsistentwitheach

other.ItmaybeintheorderofphasesA,BandCwhenfacingtheoutgoinglinesandviewingfrom

lefttoright,fartonear,andtoptobottom.Indoorrigidconductorsandoutdoorbusbarbridgeshall

becoloredaccordingly.Tobespecific,linesofphasesA,BandCshallbecoloredyellow,green,and

redrespectively.Expansionworksshallhaveaphasesequencethesameastheexistingswitchgear.

2.0.3

Forarrangementsequencesofbusbarin66-110kVswitchgear,thebusbarattransformer

sideshouldbebusbarI,andthatatthelinesidebusbarII.Forswitchgearindouble-layer

arrangement,thebusbaronthelowerlayershouldbebusbarIandthatontheupperlayer

busbarII.

Outdooropentype110kVswitchgearshallnotbemaintaine專用dwhenbeingenergized.

2.0.5

For66-110kVopentypeswitchgear,busbararrestersandvoltagetransformersshould

shareonegroupofdisconnectors.

2.0.6

For66-110kVopentypeswitchgear,earthingswitchesshouldbeprovidedatthelineside

oflinedisconnectorsandatthecircuitbreakersideofdisconnectorsmountedatbothsidesofa

circuitbreaker.Gas-insulatedmetal-enclosedswitchgearshouldbeequippedwithisolationbreaks.

For66-110kVopentypeswitchgear,earthingswitchesshallbeinstalledforeachsection

ofbusbar.

2.0.8

For66-110kVopentypeswitchgear,voltagetransformersshouldbeequippedonthree

phasesofeachgroupofmainbusbars.Whenitisnecessarytomonitoranddetectthepresenceof

voltageatlineside,voltagetransformersshouldbeinstalledononephaseattheoutgoinglineside.

For66-110kVswitchgear,allcircuitsinstalledwithcircuitbreakersshallbeequipped

withcurrenttransformers.

2.0.10Blockingdevicesshallbeprovidedamongdisconnectorsofindoorandoutdoorswitchgear,the

correspondingcircuit人人文庫breakersandearthingswitches.Whentheindoorswitchgearisarrangedatlow

level,blockingdevicesshallbeprovidedtopreventaccidentalaccesstoenergizedbay.

Thelayoutofoil-filledelectricalequipmentinswitchgearshallallowforsafeandconvenient

observationofoillevelandtemperatureunderenergizedconditions,andfacilitateoilsampling.

3EnvironmentalConditions

3.0.1

Theelectricalequipmentandinsulatorsofoutdoorswitchgearshallbeprovidedwith

externalinsulationandotherdust-proofandanti-corrosionmeansbasedonlocalpollution

classification,andallowforconvenientcleaning.Pollutionclassificationstandardsofpowerplants

andsubstationsshallbeinaccordancewithAppendixBtothiscode.

3.0.2

Ambienttemperaturesofbareconductorsandelectricalequipmentinswitchgearshallbein

accordancewithTable3.0.2.

tropictypeelectricalequipmentshallbeemployed.Inhumidsubtropicalregions,ordinaryelectrical

equipmentmaybeused,providedthatprotectivemeasuresshallbetakenbasedonthelocal

operationalexperiences.

3.0.4

Whereambienttemperatureislowerthantheminimumallowabletemperatureofelectrical

equipment,instrume人人文庫ntsandrelays,heatingdeviceswithautomatictemperaturecontrolshallbe

provided,orotherthermalinsulationmeasuresshallbetaken.

Inareassubjecttoseveresnowandice,measuresshallbetakentoavoidaccidentsresulting

fromiceandsnow.

Theicebreakingthicknessofdisconnectorsshallnotbelessthanthemaximumicecoating

thicknessoftheirinstallationlocation.

3.0.5

Indesigningthemaximumwindspeedforoutdoorswitchgear,conductorsandelectrical

equipment,the10-minuteaveragemaximumwindspeed10mabovethegroundwitha30-year

recurrenceintervalshallbeusedinareaswiththemaximumdesignwindspeedhigherthan35m/s,

theelectricalequipmentofoutdoorswitchgearshouldbeinstalledatalowerheightandthe

equipmentanditsfoundationsshouldbesecuredfirmly.

TheseismicdesignofswitchgearshallcomplywiththeactivenationalstandardGB50260

Inareaswithanaltitudeabove1,000m,electricalequipmentandelectricporcelainproducts

applicabletosuchhighaltitudeshallbeselectedforswitchgear.Theimpulseandpowerfrequency

testvoltageoftheirexternalinsulationshallbeinaccordancewiththeactivenationalstandard

Indesigningswitchgear,thecontinuousnoiselevelatrelevantoperatingplacesshallbe

Thecoronacriticalvoltagefor110kVconductorsshallbehigherthanthemaximumoperating

voltageattheplaceswheretheyareinstalled.

4.1GeneralProvisions

4.1.1

Themaximumoperatingvoltageforelectricalequipmentshallnotbelowerthanthatofthe

systemtowhichitbelongs.Thevoltagevaluesshallbedeterminedaccordingtotheactivenational

StandardVoltage

standardGB156.

4.1.2

Thelong-termallowablecurrentofconductorsshallnotbelessthanthecontinuous

operatingcurrentofthecircuitsconcerned.Theinfluenceofsunshineoncurrentcapacityshallbe

consideredforoutdoorconductors.Currentratingsofuninterrupted-dutyelectricalequipmentshall

beselectedtocaterforcontinuousoperationofcircuitsundervariouspossibleoperatingmodes.

4.1.3

Short-circuitcurrentusedtocheckthedynamicandthermalstabilityofconductorsand

electricalequipmentaswellasthebreakingcurrentofelectricalequipmentshallbecalculatedbased

onthesystemcapacityplannedforthecoming10-15years.

Theshort-circuitcurrentshallbedeterminedandcalculatedbasedonthenormalwiringmode

withmaximumpossibleshort-circuitcurrent,whichmaybegenerallycheckedwiththree-phase

shortcircuit.Ifthesinle-haseortwo-hasetoroundshort-circu專用itcurrentislarerthanthree-

phaseshort-circuitcurrent,thecheckshallbemadebasedontheseverecase.
