This lesson is focused on the topic of the Monkey King. There are 6 new words and phrases in the passage. At the same time, this passage enriches the knowledge of outside classroom and opens up the students mind.Students reading levelIts the first time for students of Grade 8 to get in touch with Chinese Traditional book Journey to the West. Most of the students may feel excited about the legend .Interest is the best teacher, but students dont have any skills to deal with the reading. Teacher should lead the students to finish the reading tasks.Reading strategyStudents will be able to apply the reading strategyskimming to find the main idea without reading every word.Students will be able to get general idea or specific information by using reading skills like skimming, scanning, and careful reading.Students will have a logicality training about reading.Teaching aimsI.Knowledge objects:1.Students will be able to understand and use the following key words and phrases: o, object, hide, tail, magic, stick, excite, Western,came, be interested in, be able to,etc.2.Students are expected to learn some knowledge about Monkey King.II.Ability objects:1. Students are expected to improve the abilities of telling a story.2. Students will be encouraged to use the methods of skimming, scanning, careful reading to improve reading abilities and can have a good understanding of the whole text.III.Moral objects:Students will be motivated to face the trouble bravely, and work hard to achieve their goals.Teaching ProceduresStep I Lead in T: (showing a mask of Sun Wukong and a magic stick)Hello,boys and girls. We have also known that people all over the world love the Monkey King, Its because he fights the bad people and helps the weak, he never gives up!環(huán)節(jié)說明:本環(huán)節(jié)進行這堂課學習內(nèi)容的總結(jié)并很自然的引出德育教育的內(nèi)容。Step VI Homework運用下列短語編寫一個60字左右美猴王的小故事1.be able to; 2.turninto; 3.sothat; 4.came out; 5.become interested in; 6.keep doing sth環(huán)節(jié)說明:這6個短語,都是本課中出現(xiàn)的重難點短語,學生通過運用來鞏固,并進行一個閱讀后的寫作訓練。教學反思英語閱讀在英語教學中起著舉足輕重的作用,這幾年的初中畢業(yè)英語試題中,閱讀題占總分的55,閱讀亦為英語學習輸入的重要手段。這堂閱讀課的設(shè)計我是基于如下幾點的考慮:一 選好合適的閱讀材料1長短適中。課堂教學必須要考慮時間。文章太長,當堂課不能完成,課堂任務(wù)單調(diào),學生容易倦怠。2難易適中。要結(jié)合學生的實際情況,太容易沒有意義,太難會挫傷學生學習英語的銳氣和積極性。3可閱讀性。文章要貼近現(xiàn)實,符合學生的愛好。 要有趣味性、科學性、知識性、滿足學生的好奇心。二精心設(shè)計課堂提問,設(shè)疑啟智、營造高效的課堂氛圍課堂提問是一種最直接的師生雙邊活動,英語閱讀教學中每一教學步驟應(yīng)設(shè)置合理的信息溝,根據(jù)一定的語言材料,設(shè)計適量靈活性較大的思考題,或讓學生從同一來源的材料或信息中探求不同的答案,培養(yǎng)學生積極求異的思維能力。本堂課的閱讀設(shè)計中,文章內(nèi)容教學和閱讀技巧教學兩條線同時推進,文章內(nèi)容由深入淺層層遞進的滲透在閱
