(1)二者后面都接動詞原形，都可引導目的狀語。但inorderto可置于句首，而soasto不可置于句首。二者的否定形式均是在

to前加not。如：

(2)二者引導的目的狀語可改寫為“inorderthat/sothat＋從句”的目的狀語從句結構，此結構的從句中常有can,could,may,might等情態(tài)動詞。如：
