(一)教學(xué)內(nèi)容

1.本課是Unit2heroesLesson1ModernHeroes的第一課時。本單元分別介紹了Nationalhero,Historymakers,Sportsstars和Superhero。這幾篇文章的主題都是hero,但涉及的領(lǐng)域不同,它們?nèi)跁炌?,承上啟下,融為一體。

2.本課是介紹NationalHero,是學(xué)生比較熟悉和感興趣的話題,前部分需要介紹楊利偉和神州五號,讓學(xué)生掌握有關(guān)詞匯;后一部分是介紹楊利偉乘坐神州五號宇宙飛船遨游太空的情況。

3.本課文出現(xiàn)了較多的定語從句,還有生詞較多(有些單詞表沒有而初中又沒有學(xué)過),在這樣的困難前提下,我引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過cultureandbackgroundknowledge,結(jié)合課本內(nèi)容豐富自己的知識面,拓寬學(xué)生對航天知識的了解,讓學(xué)生了解航天英雄的成功之路,激發(fā)他們的民族自豪感。

(二)學(xué)生分析

1.組成情況職業(yè)高中高一學(xué)生年齡都在14-16歲之間,大多數(shù)學(xué)生由于初中的知識基礎(chǔ)打得不扎實,而且缺乏主動學(xué)習(xí)的能動性,自學(xué)能力差,對學(xué)習(xí)沒有持有探究性和方向性,也沒有養(yǎng)成良好英語學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣,所以學(xué)習(xí)成績不太理想。

2.學(xué)生的知識與技能水平職業(yè)高中招生的學(xué)生,基礎(chǔ)知識比較薄弱,甚至連音標(biāo)都不會讀,詞匯的掌握范圍狹窄,影響了閱讀,聽力和作文。學(xué)生的表達(dá)能力還是停留在比較低級的水平,面對每幅圖片或某個主題只能說出一兩句話,而且在閱讀上,未能掌握泛讀和精讀的技巧和方法,課后的預(yù)習(xí)和復(fù)習(xí)能力較差,缺乏總結(jié)歸納的能力。

本單元的中心話題是scienceandscientists。話題依附于聽力、對話、閱讀與寫作等語言載體中。本單元的話題內(nèi)容與學(xué)生的日常學(xué)習(xí)有著密切的關(guān)系,應(yīng)該說是以英語為媒體讓學(xué)生表達(dá)他們對平時理化生等理科課程,特別是相關(guān)實驗,所想到及感受到的內(nèi)容。因此,盡管本單元的話題對學(xué)生而言有著一定的難度,但卻有體現(xiàn)出了以學(xué)生為中心,貼近學(xué)生生活而又富有時代氣息的特點。

Warmingup設(shè)計了四幅與學(xué)生的理科課程有關(guān)的圖片,學(xué)生通過對日常熟悉的相干實驗工具及場地的識別,展開相關(guān)學(xué)科特點與學(xué)習(xí)的討論。同時在此基礎(chǔ)上,要求學(xué)生們在Listening部分能熟悉某些實驗室的規(guī)則及注意事項,掌握如何給予別人指導(dǎo)與說明,并能抓住文章的中心話題,捕捉相關(guān)細(xì)節(jié)內(nèi)容,回答有關(guān)的問題。

Reading講述的是科學(xué)家Franklin的風(fēng)箏實驗,從而證明Lightingandelectricityarethesame的故事。學(xué)生在理解文章的基礎(chǔ)上,能充分感受到實驗對于科學(xué)工作的重要性及科學(xué)家是如何獲得事業(yè)上的成功的。同時能落實材料中所出現(xiàn)的一些單詞與短語的使用。

LanguageStudy是在本單元詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的基礎(chǔ)上,讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步了解并掌握一定的構(gòu)詞法。主要是兼類詞、一詞多義現(xiàn)象及合成詞的構(gòu)成。
