涉及現(xiàn)在時間的虛擬條件:即從句所涉及的內(nèi)容與現(xiàn)在的事實(shí)不符,此時從句的謂語用一般過去時,而主句謂語用“would+動詞原形〞〔當(dāng)然依據(jù)狀況也可用should,might,could〕。如:IfIweretaller,Iwouldbeeapoliceman.

假如我個子再高一點(diǎn),我就當(dāng)警察了?!菜硎镜膶?shí)際狀況是:我的個子不夠高,所以不能當(dāng)警察〕〔2〕

涉及將來時間的虛擬條件:即從句所涉及的內(nèi)容與將來事實(shí)不符,此時從句的謂語有三種形式,一般過去時(be通用were)或用should+動詞原形,或用wereto+動詞原形〕,而主句謂語用“would+動詞原形〞〔當(dāng)然依據(jù)狀況也可用should,might,could〕。如:Ifitrainedtomorrow,we’dstayathome.
