南昌航空大學(xué)科技學(xué)院HeatTreatmentofDieandMouldOrientedConcurrentDesignLIXiong,ZHANGHong-bing,RUANXueyu,LUOZhonghua,ZHANGYanAbstract:Manydisadvantagesexistinthetraditionaldiedesignmethodwhichbelongstoserialpattern.Itiswellknownthatheattreatmentishighlyimportanttothedies.Anewideaofconcurrentdesignforheattreatmentprocessofdieandmouldwasdevelopedinordertoovercometheexistentshortcomingsofheattreatmentprocess.HeattreatmentCAD/CAEwasintegratedwithconcurrentcircumstanceandtherelevantmodelwasbuilt.Theseinvestigationscanremarkablyimproveefficiency,reducecostandensurequalityofRandDforproducts.Keywords:diedesign;heattreatment;mouldTraditionaldieandmoulddesign,mainlybyexperienceorsemiexperience,isisolatedfrommanufacturingprocess.Beforethedesignisfinalized,theschemeofdieandmouldisusuallymodifiedtimeandagain,thussomedisadvantagescomeintobeing,suchaslongdevelopmentperiod,highcostanduncertainpracticaleffect.Duetostrongdesiresforprecision,servicelife,developmentperiodandcost,moderndieandmouldshouldbedesignedandmanufacturedperfectly.Thereforemoreandmoreadvancedtechnologiesandinnovationshavebeenapplied,forexample,concurrentengineering,agilemanufacturingvirtualmanufacturing,collaborativedesign,etc.Heattreatmentofdieandmouldisasimportantasdesign,manufactureandassemblybecauseithasavitaleffectonmanufacture,assemblyandservicelifeDesignandmanufactureofdieandmouldhaveprogressedrapidly,butheattreatmentlaggedseriouslybehindthemAsdieandmouldindustrydevelops,heattreatmentmustensuredieandmouldtherearegoodstateof1manufacture,assemblyandwearresistantpropertiesbyrequest.ImpertinentheattreatmentcaninfluencedieandmouldmanufacturingsuchasoverhardandsoftandassemblyTraditionallytheheattreatmentprocesswasmadeoutaccordingtothemethodsandpropertiesbroughtforwardbydesignerThiscouldmakethedesignersofdieandmouldandheattreatmentdivergefromeachother,forthedesignersofdieandmouldcouldnotfullyrealizeheattreatmentprocessandmaterialsproperties,andcontrarilythedesignersrarelyunderstoodtheserviceenvironmentanddesigningthought.Thesedivergenceswillimpacttheprogressofdieandmouldtoagreatextent.Accordingly,iftheprocessdesignofheattreatmentisconsideredintheearlydesigningstage,theaimsofshorteningdevelopmentperiod,reducingcostandstabilizingqualitywillbeachievedandthesublimationofdevelopmentpatternfromserialtoconcurrentwillberealizedConcurrentengineeringtakescomputerintegrationsystemasacarrier,attheverystartsubsequenteachstageandfactorshavebeenconsideredsuchasmanufacturing,heattreating,propertiesandsoforthinordertoavoidtheerrorTheconcurrentpatternhasdismissedthedefectofserialpattern,whichbringaboutarevolutionagainstserialpatternInthepresentworktheheattreatmentwasintegratedintotheconcurrentcircumstanceofthedieandmoulddevelopment,andthesystemicandprofoundresearchwasperformed1HeatTreatmentUnderConcurrentCircumstanceTheconcurrentpatterndiffersultimatelyfromtheserialpattern(seeFig1).Withregardtoserialpattern,thedesignersmostlyconsiderthestructureandfunctionofdieandmould,yethardlyconsidertheconsequentprocess,sothattheformermistakesareeasilyspreadbackwardsMeanwhile,thedesigndepartmentrarelycommunicateswiththeassembling,costaccountingandsalesdepartmentsTheseproblemscertainlywillinfluencethedevelopmentprogressofdieandmouldandthemarketforegroundWhereasintheconcurrentpattern,therelationsamongdepartmentsareclose,therelateddepartmentsall2takepartinthedevelopmentprogressofdieandmouldandhavecloseintercommunionwithpurchasersThisispropitioustoeliminationoftheconflictsbetweendepartments,increasetheefficiencyandreducethecostHeattreatmentprocessintheconcurrentcircumstanceismadeoutnotafterblueprintandworkpiecetakenbutduringdieandmoulddesigningInthisway,itisfavorabletooptimizingtheheattreatmentprocessandmakingfulluseofthepotentialofthematerials2IntegrationofHeatTreatmentCADCAEforDieandMouldItcanbeseenfromFig2thattheprocessdesignandsimulationofheattreatmentarethecoreofintegrationframeAfterinformationinputviaproductdesignmoduleandheattreatmentprocessgeneratedviaheattreatmentCADandheattreatmentCAEmodulewillautomaticallydividethemeshforpartsdrawing,simulationtemperaturefieldmicrostructureanalysisafterheattreatmentandthedefectofpossibleemerging(suchas3overheat,overburning),andthentheheattreatmentprocessisjudgediftheoptimizationismadeaccordingtotheresultreappearedbystereoscopicvisiontechnologyMoreovertoolandclampingapparatusCADandCAMareintegratedintothissystemTheconcurrentengineeringbasedintegrationframecanshareinformationwithotherbranchThatmakesforoptimizingtheheattreatmentprocessandensuringtheprocesssound2.13-DmodelandstereoscopicvisiontechnologyforheattreatmentTheproblemsaboutmaterials,structureandsizefordieandmouldcanbediscoveredassoonaspossibleby3-Dmodelforheattreatme
