以下幾種情況使用不帶to的動詞不定式:
(1)在固定詞組hadbetter之后。注意:hadbetter的否定形式是hadbetternotdosth.。如:

(2)在let,make,see,feel,watch,hear等感官或使役動詞后,要跟不帶to的動詞不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語。如:
Imadethemgivemethemoneyback.我迫使他們把錢還給我。Ididn’tseeyoucomein.我沒看見你進(jìn)來。
(3)在引導(dǎo)疑問句的whynot之后。Whynot+不帶to的不定式是Whydon’tyoudo的省略,可以用來提出建議或勸告。如:Whynotstudywithus為什么不和我們一起學(xué)呢Whynottakeaholiday=Whydon’tyoutakeaholiday為什么不休個假呢
(4)不定式動詞在介詞but,except,besides后面時,如這些介詞前有實(shí)義動詞do的各種形式,則后接不帶to的不定式,否則帶to。如:Ihavenochoicebuttoacceptthefact.除了接受這個事實(shí)我別無選擇。Whatdoyouliketodobesidesswim(5)為了避免重復(fù),不定式可省去to。如:I’mreallypuzzledwhattothinkorsay.對于想什么或說什么,我真的很困惑。
二、不定式的時態(tài)
不定式常用的時態(tài)有一般時、完成時、進(jìn)行時和完成進(jìn)行時四種,常用的為前三種。
1.一般時動詞不定式的一般式表示不定式的動作或狀態(tài)與謂語動詞所表示的動作同時發(fā)生或在之后發(fā)生。如:
Iplantoattendthemeeting.我計(jì)劃參加這次會議。
2.完成時不定式的完成式表示不定式的動作發(fā)生在謂語動詞表示的動作之前。如:
Iamsorrytohavekeptyouwaiting.很抱歉讓你久等了。
3.進(jìn)行時
不定式的進(jìn)行式表示不定式的動作與謂語動詞所表示的動作同時發(fā)生。如:Theyaresaidtobeworkinghard.據(jù)說他們工作得很努力。
4.完成進(jìn)行時不定式的完成進(jìn)行式表示不定式的動作在謂語動詞之前已經(jīng)發(fā)生,并且一直進(jìn)行著。如:
Heissaidtohavebeenworkinginthatfactoryfortwelveyears.
據(jù)說他已在那家工廠工作12年了。
三、動詞不定式在句中的作用
1.作主語Toliveistowork.生活就是工作。Tosavetimeistolengthenlife.節(jié)約時間就等于延長了人的生命。
不定式結(jié)構(gòu)作主語時,現(xiàn)代英語傾向于采用it作形式主語,而把不定式結(jié)構(gòu)后置的形式。如:
ItisimportantforstudentstostudyEnglish.
學(xué)好英語對學(xué)生來說是很重要的。
2.作定語(1)不定式作定語,要放在它所修飾的名詞或代詞的后面。如:Ihavenothingtosayonthisquestion.對這個問題我無可奉告。(2)如果不定式是不及物動詞,后面就應(yīng)有必要的介詞。如:Givemeapieceofpapertowriteon.給我一張紙寫字。(3)有些名詞??捎貌欢ㄊ阶鞫ㄕZ。如:Ourteacherhadnotimetothinkaboutrest.
我們老師根本沒時間考慮休息一下。
3.作賓語a.want,decide,agree等動詞后面跟并且只能跟不定式。如:Weagreedtostartearly.Shewantstobeadoctor.b.love,like,begin,start,hate,prefer等詞后面可以接不定式。點(diǎn)擊規(guī)律:上述動詞后面除接不定式外,還可以接動名詞,意思無很大區(qū)別。提示板:likedoing指經(jīng)常性動作,而liketodo指一次性的動作。如:Ilikeswimming,butIdon'tliketoswimnow.我喜歡游泳,但我現(xiàn)在不想游。c.stop,forget,remember,goon,try等詞或短語后面可以接不定式。點(diǎn)擊規(guī)律:上述動詞后面接不定式和接動名詞意思大不相同。提示板:1)stoptodosth.:停止一件事,去做另一件事。
stopdoingsth.:停止正在做的事。例句:Whentheteachercamein,thestudentsstoppedtalking;whenhecameout,thestudentsstoppedtotalk.當(dāng)老師走進(jìn)來時,學(xué)生們停止說話;當(dāng)老師走出去時,學(xué)生們又開始說話。2)思考:forget,remember,goon,try等詞或短語后面接不定式和動名詞用法有何區(qū)別d.在find/feel+it+adj.+todosth.句型中,it是形式賓語,真正的賓語是后面的動詞不定式。如:Themandownstairsfounditdifficulttogettosleep.Ifeeliteasytorecitethetext.點(diǎn)擊規(guī)律:某些動詞或短語后面既可以接動詞不定式作賓語,又可接動名詞作賓語,二者用法上的區(qū)別可以通過造句子加以區(qū)分,如上面stop例句。Iwishtobeacollegestudent.我希望成為一名大學(xué)生。有的及物動詞要求跟復(fù)合賓語(賓語+賓語補(bǔ)足語)。如果其中的賓語是不定式短語,則必須將形式賓語it放在賓語的位置上,而將不定式短語(真正的賓語)放在賓語補(bǔ)足語之前。如:
IfinditusefultolearnEnglishwell.我發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)好英語很有用。
4.作賓語補(bǔ)足語動詞不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語是動詞不定式用法的一個重點(diǎn),學(xué)習(xí)時要注意以下三種情況。
(1)作動詞ask,like,tell等的賓語補(bǔ)足語時,動詞不定式符號to不可以省略。如:
HeaskedmetotalkaboutEnglishstudy.他請我談?wù)動⒄Z學(xué)習(xí)。
(2)作使役動詞let,have,make以及感官動詞feel,hear,see,watch等的賓語補(bǔ)足語時,動詞不定式符號to要省略。如:Theteachermadehimsaythewordlikethis.老師讓他像這樣說這個單詞。
(3)作動詞help的賓語補(bǔ)足語時,動詞不定式符號to可以帶,也可以不帶。如:
Couldyouhelpme(to)carrytheheavybox你能幫我搬這個重箱子嗎?
5.作狀語動詞不定式及其短語具有副詞的特性,可在句中作狀語。
(1)作目的狀語。如:Hestoppedtohavearest.他停下來休息。
(2)作結(jié)果狀語。如:Hewokeuptofindeverybodygone.他醒來發(fā)現(xiàn)大家都走了。
(3)在某些表示喜、怒、哀、樂等的形容詞后作原因狀語。如:I’msorrytohearyourgrandmaisill.聽到你奶奶生病真遺憾。
(4)在帶有enough或too的句子里作狀語,表程度。如:Heisoldenoughtogotoschool.他到了上學(xué)年齡了。
(5)強(qiáng)調(diào)動詞不定式所表示的目的時,動詞不定式可用inorderto或soasto+動詞原形,soasto不用于句首。如:
