Admittedly,theideaheldbythosearguersdoescontainanelementoftruth.Forexample,therepeatedacademicfailurewilldefinitelyleaveamanfrustrated,henceoftencastingashadowonhismood.Butthesearguerstendtoignoretwootheressentialaspects.First,theyfailtotakeintoaccountthepossibilitythatmanypeople,thoughpresentingapooracademicperformanceatschool,turnouttobeoutstandinginrealmsotherthantheiroriginalacademicresearchandstudy.ConsiderCharlesDarwinwhooftenflunkedinhismedicalstudy.HelaterbecamethefounderoftheNaturalSelectionandEvolution.Inthissense,theacademicfrustrationisnotalwayssynonymoustothebankruptcyofone’sfutureprofessionalcareer.Second,theteachers’assertiondoesn’tprovidesufficientdatatonarrowdowntheexactcorrelationbetweentheacademiccompetenceandthefutureachievement.Therefore,anyfurtherconclusionaddressingtheproblemmustbebasedonthoroughinvestigation.Asamatteroffact,whenAlbertEinsteinwasyoung,hecouldn’tproperlycompletecertainsimplecalculation.ButhefinallyestablishedhimselfasthefounderoftheTheoryofRelativity.Givenreasonsabove,theargumentthattheacademicfailuremeansfailureineverything,underacarefulscrutiny,turnsouttobegroundlessinitshastyconclusion.
