合成詞，即多個(gè)單詞合成的一個(gè)詞，合成詞的單復(fù)數(shù)要改變代表核心意思的那個(gè)單詞，如：editorinchief（主編editorsinchief）但是與man和woman構(gòu)成的合成詞，前后都要改，其復(fù)數(shù)形式是men和women，

如：manteacher(男老師menteachers),womandoctor(女醫(yī)生womendoctors)單復(fù)數(shù)同形的名詞

例如：deer鹿，sheep綿羊，fish魚(yú)，Chinese中國(guó)人，Japanese日本人

注意：除人民幣元、角、分外，美元、英鎊、法郎等都有復(fù)數(shù)形式。例如:adollar—twodollars【人民幣無(wú)復(fù)數(shù)，外幣有】集體名詞:一群人或一些物的名詞，以單數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)，但實(shí)為復(fù)數(shù)。
