Bythetimewereachedthelift,wehadbothcalmeddown.Shetookmyhandsandthankedmeagain,before

disappearing.Shemighthavebeenfinewithoutmyhurriedhitsonherback——Imaynothaveactuallysavedher

life-butatleastsheknewthatsomeone,astrangerwhomshewouldneverseeagain,cared.
