OnaFridaynight,apooryoungartiststoodatthegateofthesubwaystation,playinghis

violin.Peoplewerequicklygoinghomefortheweekend.Inthiscase,manyofthemslowed

downtheirpacesandputsomemoneyinthehatoftheyoungman.

Thenextday,theyoungartistcameagain,andputhishatonthegroundgracefully.

Differentfromthedaybefore,hetookoutapieceofpaperandlaiditonthegroundandput

somestonesonit.Thenheadjusted(調(diào)整)theviolinandbeganplaying.Itseemedmore

pleasanttolistento.Beforelong,theyoungmanwassurroundedwithpeople,whowereall

attractedbythewordsonthepaper.Itsaid,“Lastnight,agentlemannamedGeorgeSangputan

Seeningthis,itcausedagreatexcitementandpeoplewonderedwhatitcouldbe.After

abouthalfanhour,amiddle-agedmanranthereinahurryandrushedthroughthecrowdinto
