Creepagedistancemeanstheshortestpathbetweentwoconductivepartsalongthesurfaceofinsulatingmaterial.
Clearancemeanstheshortestdistancethroughairbetweentwoconductiveparts.
Floodlightingmeanslightingprojectedtothewholesiteorlightedobjects,givingmuchmore
illuminationthanthesurroundingillumination.
Floodlightsmeanluminairesusedforfloodlighting.
Fixedluminairesmeanluminaireswhicharenoteasytomovefromoneplacetoanother.
Portableluminairesmeanluminaireswhichcanbemovedfromoneplacetoanotherinnormaloperationafterconnectingtopowersource.
Handlampmeansaportableluminairewithonehandleandoneflexiblecableorcord.
Ballastmeansonecomponentcomprisedofinductance,capacitanceorresistanceindividuallyorjointly,betweenpowersourceandoneormoredischargelamps.Mainlyusedforrestrictingthelampcurrentwithinrequiredlimit.
ACsuppliedelectronicballastispoweredbynetworksource,comprisedofAC-ACinverterofsteady-statecomponents,whichusuallystartoneormoretubularfluorescentlampsunderhighfrequency.
Startingdevicemeansthedevicethatprovidesappropriateelectricalconditionstostartdischargelampsbyitsownactionorincombinationwithothercomponentsinline.
Glow-starterforfluorescentlampmeansthestarterthatstartsthefluorescentlampbyglowdischarge.
Plansanddocuments

qualitycontrolscheme(whereapplicable).

Forrenewalofthetypeapprovalcertificate,typetestmaybecarriedoutatthemanufacturer’slaboratoryinthepresenceofCCSSurveyor,subjecttoagreementofCCSandprovidedthatthemanufacturerhasrequiredtestenvironmentandequipmentaswellascompetentinspectionandtestpersonnel.
Testenvironment
Unlessotherwisespecified,alltestsaretobecarriedoutunderthefollowingatmosphericconditions:
ambienttemperature:15℃to35℃;
relativehumidity:30%RHto90%RH;
airpressure:86to106kPa.
Exemptionfromtestitems
AnyexemptionrequestedbythemanufacturerfromtypetestitemswillbeaddressedbytherelatedCCSinspectionorganization,takingintoconsiderationthesignificanceofproducts,theirmaturemanufacturingproceduresandhistoryofuseaswellastheavailabilityofappropriatetestreportsissuedbyanyIACSmemberorverificationtestorganization.Ifthemanufacturerdeclaresthatthereisnoanysubstantialchangeindesign,constructionandmaterialsoftheproducts,ofwhichthetypeapprovalcertificateistoberenewed,considerationmaybegiventoanappropriateexemptionfromtypetestitems.
