tosustainabledevelopment.Educationstandsasapowerfulforcetoaddresstheseglobalchallengesanddrivesustainableprogress,holdingimmensepotentialtoshapeabrighterfutureforall.Chinaissteadfastinitscommitmenttoadvancinghigh-levelopening-upintheeducationsector,fosteringcollaborationand

innovationforthebenefitofglobaldevelopment.

Overthepastyear,theChinaEducationAssociationforInternationalExchange(CEAIE)hasfirmlyrooteditselfinChinawhilemaintainingaglobaloutlook.Theassociationhasconsistentlyaligneditseffortswithnationalprioritiesandthebroaderneedsofthecountry,ithasadeptlynavigatedtheprofoundshiftsintheglobaleducationallandscapeandrespondedtothecomplexitiesofanever-changinginternationalenvironmentwithdeterminationandproactivemeasures.

TheCEAIEhasmadesignificantstridesinadvancinghigh-levelopening-upineducation,achievingremarkableprogressinseveralkeyareas:supportinghead-of-statediplomacy,contributingtothedevelopmentofarobusteducationsystem,fosteringpeople-to-peopleexchangesbetweenChinaandothercountries,andservingitsdiversemembershipofeducationalinstitutions.Theseeffortshaveyieldedsubstantialresults,underscoringtheassociation'scommitmenttopromotingglobaleducationalcollaborationandmutualunderstanding.

Lookingaheadto2025,theCEAIEiscommittedtoexpandingglobaleducationalexchanges,fosteringinternationalcollaboration,andbuildingtransformativepartnerships.Theseinitiativesaimtodriveinnovation,promotesustainabledevelopment,andbridgethegapbetweenindustry,education,andresearch.Throughtheseefforts,weaspiretocontributetoasharedfutureforhumanity,aligningwithglobalgoalsforprosperityandprogress.

YoungEnvoysScholarshipProgram

InNovember,2023,PresidentXiJinpingannouncedtheinitiative“inviting50,000youngAmericanstoChinaonexchangeandstudyprogramsinthenextfiveyears”.InMay,2024,duringhisvisittoFrance,PresidentXiJinpingannouncedtheinitiative“promotingthenumberofFrenchstudentsstudyinginChinatoexceed10,000inthenextthreeyears,anddoublethescaleofEuropeanyouthexchangesinChina”.Tosupporttheseimportantinitiatives,YoungEnvoysScholarshipprogram(YESprogram)cameintobeing,andCEAIEactedastheleadingexecutingorganization.InpursuitofahighqualityplatformofexchangesandcommunicationforyouthfromChinaandabroad,YESprogramhasmadepositiveprogress.

CEAIEhosted“Zhi-XingChina:ShanghaiDiscovery”,atwhichtheYESprogramwasofficiallylaunched.Morethan200studentsincludingstudentsandteachersfromMuscatineHighSchoolwhocameundertheinvitationofPresidentXiJinpingattendedtheevent.Inaddition,undertheZhi-XingChinaumbrellaprogram,CEAIEhosteddelegationsfromLincolnHighSchool,youngprofessionalsfromvariousfields,universitystudents,andhighschoolstudentsthroughZhi-XingChinaFellowships,Zhi-XingChina:UniversityStudentLeadersAcademy,Zhi-Xing

China:U.S.-China:StudentLeadersExchangeprogram.Atthesametime,YoungEnvoysScholarship(Spain)

LaunchingCeremonywasheldinMadrid,unveilingtheYESprograminSpain.

CEAIEenactedaYESprogramworkinggroupwhoseresponsibilitieswereplanningandadministratingtheprogram.TheofficialYESwebsitewentonline,showcasingprogramsavailableforinternationalparticipantsrunbyChineseinstitutions.Morethan700programsfrom352schoolsof28provinceswerelistedontheYESwebsite,providingmorevariedoptionsfortheperspectiveYESstudents.Also,policiesonvisawereintroduced.YESstudentswhowereAmericanpassportholderscanapplyfor5-yearmultiple-entryvisawiththeexclusiveYESinvitationletterandwereabletoenjoyfasterimmigrationcheckups.In2024,therewere11volumesofnewsletter,introducingthehighlightsandprogressoftheYESprogram.

ByDecember2024,YESparticipantscomingfrom50U.S.statesandWashingtonD.C.havevisitedatotalof322organizationsin26provincialadministrativeregionsinChina.Seeingisbelieving-YESparticipantshavebecomethe“envoysoffriendship”astheyexperiencedChina,madetheirownobservationandinteractedwithlocalpeople,breakingthecocoonwrappedbythedelugedinformation.

LubanWorkshops

InfulfilmentoftheHeadofState’sdiplomaticpledgesandachievements,CEAIEhasbeenprioritizingthestrategicdevelopmentofLubanWorkshops,withtheaimtoforgeaflagshipbrandforChina’sTVETsector.

AsthesecretariatoftheLubanWorkshopConstructionExpertCommittee,CEAIEhasbeensupervisingtheLubanWorkshopConstructionAllianceandspearheadingcross-sectorcoordinationacrossfourstrategicpillars:strategicplanning,promotingconstruction,qualityassurance,andvisibilitycampaigns.ToimplementnationalmajordirectivesonLubanWorkshop,CEAIEiscollaboratingwithstakeholderstoformulateupdateddevelopmentblueprintswhileacceleratingconstructioninprogress.

InSeptember,inthekeynoteaddressattheopeningceremonyoftheBeijingSummitoftheForumonChina-AfricaCooperation(FOCAC),ChinesePresidentXiJinpingstatedthatChinawouldimplementwithAfricamoresolidlytheFutureofAfrica-VocationalEducationCooperationPlan.

DuringtheBeijingSummit,astheTVET-relatedsideevent,CEAIEheldtheChina-AfricaTVETCooperationConsortiumAnnualConference,whichChineseViceMinisterofEducation,WuYan,andministerialrepresentativesfromAfricanministriesofeducationattendedanddeliveredspeeches.Thenumberofconsortiummembersexpandedto85.

SupportedbytheProgram,over1000TVETadministratorsandteachersfrom16countriesparticipatedinbothonlineandon-sitetrainingsessions.Additionally,290studentsfrom16countriesenrolledineducationalprogramsinChina.Twenty-twonewoccupationstandardsoffournewprofessionalcategorieshavebeendeveloped,whiletheAfriKnowledgeHub,thenational-levelTVETdigital

resourceplatform,waslaunched.Furthermore,asanewlyincorporatedpartoftheProgram,AfricaTechChallenge(ATC)SeasonIXwashosted

successfullyinChinaforthefirsttime.

TheLubanWorkshopinKyrgyzstanwasofficiallyaccreditatedandinauguratedwhileacooperationMoUwassignedwithTurkmenistan.Concurrently,CEAIEorganizeedfourspecializedcapacity-buildingtrainingprogrammestailoredtoreinforcingcompetenciesinLubanWorkshopdesign,implementation,andsustainabilityinASEANandAfrica.

Acomprehensivereviewofregulatoryframeworkshasbeeninitiated,includingconstructionprotocolsandaccreditationcriteria,alongsidethecompositionofitsannualreport.TheseeffortsaimtostandardizebenchmarksonconstructionandoperationacrosstheLubanWorkshopnetwork.Furthermore,CEAIEhaslaunchedadedicatedofficialwebsiteandcommencedregularbriefingpublicationstoestablishtheauthoritativeplatformforLubanWorkshopinformationdisseminationandbrandpromotion.

TheBRICSTVETCooperationAlliance(BRICS-TCA)China-ASEANTVETConsortium

CEAIEhasintensifieditsstrategicengagementwithmemberstatesofASEANthroughtheChina-ASEANTVETConsortium(CATC),executinghigh-impactprogramsthattransitiontocooperativemechanisms.Duringthe2024China-ASEANEducationCooperationWeek,theCATCconvenedtheannualconference,supportingbilateralallianceswithrespectivelyCambodia,Laos,andIndonesiawhileguidingtheestablishmentoftheChina-ASEAN

AgricultureTVETIndustry-EducationAlliance.TenflagshipbilateralandmultilateralinitiativeswereannouncedasChina-ASEANOutstandingPartnershipinTVET.

TheBRICS-TCAreceivedhigh-levelendorsementfromBRICSheadsofstateandeducationministers.TheXVIBRICSSummitKazanDeclarationrecognizedthepivotalroleoftheBRICSTVETCooperationAllianceasamultilateralplatformfordialogue,experiencesharingandprojectcollaboration.Buildingonthismomentum,theKAZANDeclarationofthe11thMeetingoftheBRICSMinistersofEducationunderscoredtheimperativetofurtherleveragetheAlliance’sstrategicroleasasignificantmultilateralplatformforeducationalcollaboration.

ChinaAnnualConference&ExpoforInternationalEducation(CACIE)isoneofthelargestandleadinginternationaleducationeventsinAsia-Pacific,attractingthousandsofdecision-makers,keyinfluencers,professionalsandpractitionersfromallovertheworldannuallysince2000.Formorethan20years,CACIEhasbecomeapremierandunmissablegatheringsforinternationaleducatorstodiscovernewtrendsandpracticalsolutionstoglobalchallenges,exploreopportunitiestobuildinstitutionalpartnershipsandseekinnovativeapproachesforhigh-qualitydevelopmentineducation.

Markingamilestoneindevelopmentofglobaltechnicalandvocationaleducationandtraining,theWorldTVETLeague(WTL),avocationaleducationcooperationorganization,andtheWorldTVETPrize(WTP),agloballyorientedawardwereestablishedatthe2024WorldVocationalandTechnicalEducationDevelopmentConferenceinTianjin,China.CEAIEPresidentLiuLimin,leadingrepresentativesfromtheCouncil,jointlyinauguratedtheWTLand,inhiscapacityastheChairofWTL,announcedtheinaugurallaureatesoftheWTP:LubanWorkshop(China),MartinRiordan(FormerCEOofTAFEDirectorsinAustralia),andAssociationofTechnicalUniversitiesandPolytechnicsinAfrica(ATUPA).

WTL,ofwhichfirstgroupofmembersconsistsof89institutionsfrom

43countriesandregions,includinghighereducationinstitutions,vocationalandtechnicalcolleges,enterprisesandeducationalorganizations,wasestablishedwiththeaimofprovidingthemost

comprehensive,balanced,representativeandinclusiveinternationalplatformforvocationaleducation.
