learningthatChinaneededsomestudentstolearnhowtodesigncarrierrocketsandballistic
missiles(運載火箭和彈道導(dǎo)彈).Inthesummerof1961,WanggraduatedandreturnedtoChina.
Hestartedworkingonrocketdesign.Duringhiswork,hedesignedanumberofrocketsand
missiles.In1992,hewasnamedasthefirstchiefplannerofthenation'smannedspaceflight
program,althoughhewasalready60.Thetaskbroughthimagreatdealofpressure,buthestuck
tohistaskbecausehethoughtitwashisdutytomakethenarioivsdrcamofflyingintospacecome
(rue.Underhisleadership,Chinasucceededinitsfirstmannedspaceflightin2003.Forhis
contributionstoChina'sspaceflightprogram,WangreceivedtheNationalHighestScienceand
