一.活動設(shè)計(jì)與說明

1.內(nèi)容分析

本單元的教學(xué)內(nèi)容來自于必修第一冊第一單元VocabularyFocus板塊suffixes,主要幫助學(xué)生了解構(gòu)詞法,通過復(fù)習(xí)初中學(xué)習(xí)過的一些后綴了解后綴的用法及意義;能將后綴根據(jù)詞性進(jìn)行分類整理,學(xué)會靈活辨析單詞詞性;通過后綴學(xué)習(xí),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過后綴將已經(jīng)掌握的單詞在縱向上延伸,通過賦予詞匯不同的詞性從而擴(kuò)大詞匯量,并且利用構(gòu)詞法提高詞匯拼寫和正確率;同時(shí)也利用構(gòu)詞法,最大程度引導(dǎo)學(xué)生靈活運(yùn)用已知單詞,在語境中鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生按其原則嘗試“轉(zhuǎn)類"單詞,提高語言的表達(dá)力。

2.學(xué)情分析

在初中階段學(xué)生已經(jīng)接觸過了一些基本的單詞后綴,對一些常用單詞中后綴能夠判斷。但是相對而言,學(xué)生接觸了解的各個(gè)詞性的詞綴還是片面的,雜亂的,他們只能對個(gè)別“后綴”靈活運(yùn)用在語境中。但是如果高中階段僅僅通過課文一個(gè)個(gè)間歇地、少量地接觸和認(rèn)識單詞的話,不容易形成系統(tǒng)性的認(rèn)知,使學(xué)生對“后綴"的規(guī)律的總結(jié)和記憶造成一定障礙。所以在初高銜接階段,很有必要讓學(xué)生較為系統(tǒng)地、全面地了解“后綴”,為今后的詞匯積累和運(yùn)用打下扎實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。

通過課堂實(shí)例,幫助學(xué)生從已知的單詞“teacher;assignment;creative;actually;favourite;simply;imaginative"中獲得更多的例子,進(jìn)一步對“后綴”的概念進(jìn)行鞏固。

學(xué)生初中時(shí)所接觸的一些常用單詞,已經(jīng)讓他們對不同詞性單詞常用的詞綴有一定的了解,因此根據(jù)名,動,形,副詞四大類分類整理常用詞綴,可以進(jìn)一步激活學(xué)生已有的詞匯知識,同時(shí)以更加系統(tǒng)的表格方式分類呈現(xiàn),逐步培養(yǎng)學(xué)生養(yǎng)成通過后綴分類詞性,識記單詞的習(xí)慣。

本節(jié)課希望學(xué)生能夠通過小組競賽活動,實(shí)現(xiàn)“后綴"知識的遷徙運(yùn)用,以-ful:

-ation/-tion:-ward(s):-ise/-ize:為例,讓學(xué)生配合寫出盡可能多的單詞,嘗試用“后綴”歸類詞匯,同時(shí)用詞根詞綴配對方式,挑戰(zhàn)基本詞義,詞性和用法,豐富語言表達(dá)。

3.設(shè)計(jì)思路

本節(jié)課教學(xué)活動是基于詞匯策略suffixes設(shè)計(jì)的,通過后綴的進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí),歸納整理,和實(shí)踐應(yīng)用。希望學(xué)生聯(lián)系初中學(xué)過的后綴,總結(jié)歸納更多的詞后綴,并將后綴根據(jù)名詞,動詞,形容詞,副詞進(jìn)行分類,了解它們的用法和含義。能夠更好地利用后綴判斷單詞詞性,能利用后綴結(jié)合詞根在語境中猜測陌生詞的詞意。激活學(xué)生所學(xué)的單詞,鼓勵(lì)他們將所學(xué)的同詞根單詞整理在一起,通過后綴識別意義和詞性,記憶單詞。

在熱身環(huán)節(jié)中,通過中文的“形聲字”,讓學(xué)生了解在中文中,有些字通過添加偏旁部首可以生成更多的字,同時(shí)通過理解偏旁部首可以更好記憶形聲字。同樣英語中的詞綴也起到了偏旁部首的作用,可以幫助學(xué)生在詞根的基礎(chǔ)上,派生出跟多不同詞性的單詞。掌握好后綴,可以一方面幫助學(xué)生在語境中猜測詞意,一方面也可以擴(kuò)大詞匯量,分類記憶單詞。

在聯(lián)想類活動中,要求學(xué)生從一些常見單詞著手,自主觀察總結(jié)一些熟悉單詞的構(gòu)詞法。通過實(shí)踐,不僅可以了解“后綴”及其功能作用,而且也體驗(yàn)了詞的構(gòu)成。在此基礎(chǔ)上,再認(rèn)識一些新的常見“后綴”,然后自行進(jìn)行聯(lián)想,從已知的單詞中提供更多的例子,進(jìn)一步對“后綴”的概念進(jìn)行鞏固。同時(shí),通過后綴的歸類,了解不同詞性后綴,幫助學(xué)生養(yǎng)成通過后綴分類詞性,識記單詞的習(xí)慣。
