高中時間狀語從句和練習[含答案解析]高中時間狀語從句和練習[含答案解析]高中時間狀語從句和練習[含答案解析]V:1.0精細整理,僅供參考高中時間狀語從句和練習[含答案解析]日期:20xx年X月狀語從句狀語從句在句中作狀語,修飾主句中的動詞、形容詞或副詞等。狀語從句放在主句之前時,常用逗號分開;放在主句之后,一般不用逗號。狀語從句按其意義和作用可分為時間、原因、地點、條件、讓步、目的、結果、方式、比較等9種。1.時間狀語從句時間狀語從句表示主句動作發(fā)生的時間,主要由when,while,as;before,after;till(until);once,bythetime,assoonas,nosooner...than和hardly...when及名詞詞組themoment等引導。1)when“在……的時候”;while“在……期間”;as“正當……的時候”when意為“在……的時候”,強調“特定時間”。Whenspringcame,hefeltlikeatrip.Whenhewaseatinghisbreakfast,heheardthedoorbellring.說明:連詞when在狀語從句中還有如下幾種含義:①表示突然發(fā)生的事,含義為“(正在……時)忽然”。IwasjustcomingalongtoseeyouwhenIranintoWilson.IhadbeenworkingacoupleofmonthswhenIhadaletterfromJane.②表示過早發(fā)生某事,意為“(還沒……)就”。此含義有時可用before代替。Ihadn’tbeenreadingforhalfanhourwhenIheardstepsoutside.我剛讀了不到半個小時就聽到外面有腳步聲。IhadbeentherelittlemorethanaweekwhenIsettoworkinearnest.③表示“在……的情況下”,常可譯為“雖然”,“既然”,“如果”。Sherefuseshelpwhen(although)shehasmanyfriends.Whydoyouwalkwhen(since)youhaveacar?HowcanIhelpthemtounderstandwhen(if)theywon’tlistentome.④后接虛擬結構,含義為“本可以,應該……”。Hestoppedtryingwhenhemighthavesucceedednexttime.Theywereplayingwhentheycouldhavebeenworking.while意為“在……期間”,從句用持續(xù)性動詞,表時間的一段,而不是一點。Whilehewaseatinghisbreakfast,heheardthedoorbellring.Wemuststrikewhiletheironishot.說明:連詞while在狀語從句中還有如下幾種含義:①意為“然而,但是”,表示前后對照,說明兩種情況相反Tomisveryoutgoing,whileJaneisshyandquiet.Somepeoplewastefoodwhileothershaven’tenough.②意為“雖然,盡管”(多放句首),從句和主句主語多為同一人或物。WhileIunderstandwhatyousay,Ican’tagreewithyou.Whileforbiddenfruitissaidtotastesweeter,itusuallyspoilsfaster.雖然有人說禁果的味道更甜,但它腐爛得也更快。③意為“只要”。參看while引導條件狀語從句。as意為“正當”,強調同一時間里兩個相繼發(fā)生或變化的情況,或兩個動作一前一后,有時有“隨著……”的含義。Ashewaseatinghisbreakfast,heheardthedoorbellring.(強調同一時間)AsIwasgoingout,itbegantorain.(強調兩個動作先后發(fā)生)Asspringwarmsthegoodearth,allflowersbegintobloom.(as有“隨著”的含義)2)before“在……之前”,after“在……之后”強調事件的先后關系before表示兩件事的先后關系。主句為肯定句,before引導的從句動作后發(fā)生;主句為否定句,before引導的從句動作先發(fā)生。Istartedmymealbeforehearrived.(從句動作后發(fā)生)Hedidn’tarrivebeforeIreturned.(從句動作先發(fā)生)說明:在不同的結構中,連詞before在狀語從句中有如下幾種含義。①意為“…………(之后)才”,此結構主句常用肯定式,強調主句內容持續(xù)的色彩。Itwillbetenyearsbeforewemeetagain.要10年后我們才能再見面。Itwaseveningbeforewereachedthatlittletown.傍晚時分我們才到達那個小鎮(zhèn)。②意為“(不久)…………就”,用“...notlongbefore”這一結構,強調時間的短暫Itwon’tbelongbeforeyouregret.不久你就會后悔的。Itwasn’tlongbeforehetoldmeaboutthisaffair.不久他就把這事告訴我了。③意為“不等/沒有……就”。從句常用肯定形式。(有時從句用過去完成時,但仍表示主句的動作先發(fā)生。)SheofferedmeacupofteabeforeIsatdown.沒等我坐下她就給我端上一杯茶。IleftuniversitybeforeI’dtakenthefinalexams.我沒有參加期末考就退學了。④意為“剛…………沒多久就…………”,“剛…………不到(多少時向)就…………”。主句常用否定的過去完成式,表示過早發(fā)生某事。句中的before有時可用when代替。Ihadn’twaitedlongbeforehecame.我剛等候不久他就來了。Theyhadnotbeenmarriedamonthbefore/whentheyquarreled.他們剛結婚不到一個月就吵架了。after引導狀語從句,用于表示主句和從句兩個動作的先后關系:Ifoundtheletterlongafterhehadgoneaway.Afterwehadfinishedteaweallsatonthegrass.為表示兩個動作緊接著發(fā)生,從句可用過去時代替過去完成時:Aftershefinishedherwork,shehurriedtothenurserytopickupherchild.Itoldthemthenewsafteryouleft,3)till/until,since,once,bythetimetill與until??蓳Q用。但until可用于句首,till不能用于句首。①till/until意為“直到”,用于主句為肯定句的表持續(xù)的謂語動詞,如live,last,stand,stay,wait,work等時,表示主句的動作延續(xù)到從句所表達的動作發(fā)生為止,意為“一直到…………時”。Heworkeduntilitwasdark.他一直工作到天黑。Shestoodthereuntilhehadpassedoutofsight.她站在那兒直到再也看不見他。InBritishlawtheaccusedispresumedtobeinnocentuntilheisprovedtobeguilty.在英國的法律中,被告的罪狀在被證實之前他被推定是無罪的。說明:若主句為肯定句的非持續(xù)動詞,只用before,表示時間上“先于”。Heappliedthreetimesbeforehewasfinallyadmittedtotheuniversity.Hemadeamistake,buthecorrectedthesituationbeforeitgotworse.②till/until用于主句為否定句的表非持續(xù)的謂語動詞,如begin,become,getup,reach,start等時,until表達的一般是“主句動作的起點”意為“直到……才”,“在……之前(不)”。Hedidnotgetuptillhismothercamein.直到母親進來時他才起床。Nomanreallybecomesafooluntilhestopsaskingquestions.人要是不再發(fā)問,就會變得愚蠢。DonotstartuntilIgivetheword.接到我的命令前不要動身。說明:主句為否定的非持續(xù)動詞,until與before均可使用,但含義略有區(qū)別:Hedidn’tarriveuntilIreturned.他直到我回來才到達。Hedidn’tarrivebeforeIreturned.在我回來之前他尚未到達。③Itwasnotuntil…that…是“notuntil”的強調形式,不用倒裝。Itwasnotuntilhesawhismotherthatherealizedhowoldshehadbecome.直到看見母親,他才意識到母親已經變老了。ItwasnotuntilIhadreadyourletterthatIunderstoodthetruestateofaffairs.直到讀了你的信,我才明白事實的真相。since意為“自從……以來”,用于表示時間,要注意以下幾點:①since從句后常用一般過去時,通常為非持續(xù)性動詞,表示主句(現(xiàn)在完成時或現(xiàn)在完成進行時)動作的起始點:Electricityhasbeenwidelyusedsinceitwasdiscovered.IhavebeenlookingforwardtomeetingyoueversinceMartintoldme.②當主句用it表示“自從……以來已經有多少時間”時,謂語動詞常用一般現(xiàn)在時,有時也可用將來時。since從句用過去時。Itisthreeyearssinceweenteredtheuniversity.NextTuesdayitwillbesixyearssinceIcametoShanghai.③若主句用現(xiàn)在完成時,since從句中的動詞為持續(xù)性動詞或狀態(tài)動詞的一般過去時,則表示since從句動作的完成或結束。HehashadseveraljobssincehewasastudentatBeijingUniversity.自從北京大學畢業(yè)后,他已經干了好幾種工作了。Thehousehasbeeninbadrepairsincetheylivedinit.自從他們搬出之后,這房子一直沒有很好維修。④若主句也用現(xiàn)在完成時,since從句中的動詞是持續(xù)性動詞或狀態(tài)動詞的現(xiàn)在完成時,表示since從句的動作或狀態(tài)延續(xù)到說話時刻:Shehasseldombeenoutsinceshehasbeenill.自從她得病以來很少出門。IhaveoftenheardfromhimsincehehaslivedinShanghai.自從他入住上海以來,我經常聽到他的消息。once意為“一……就”,“只要”,可以同時表時間和條件。Onceyouseeher,youwillfindwhatIsayistrue.Onceyouunderstandtherule,youwillhavenofurtherdifficulty.Onceagoodbeginningismade,theworkishalfdone.bythetime意為“到……時”,后接的句子用現(xiàn)在時,主句通常用將來完成時;后接的句子用一般過去時,主句通常用過去完成時。Bythetimehearrives,wewillalreadyhaveleftCalifornia.Bythetimehearrived,wehadalreadyleftCalifornia.4)assoonas,instantly,immediately,directly,presently表示從句動作一發(fā)生,主句動作隨即發(fā)生,通常譯為“一……就……”。assoonas最普通,instantly語氣最強,presently最弱。AssoonasIfinishthework,I’llgotoseeyou.Immediatelythebuttonwaspressed,themineexploded.DirectlyIhaddoneit,IknewIhadmadeamistake.5)nosooner...than和hardly...when,意為“剛……就……”表示“剛……就……”時,主句中的動詞一般用過去完成時,從句用過去時。若把nosooner,hardly提到句首,主句須倒裝。hardly可換用成scarcely,連詞when可換用成before。Thesunhadnosoonerstartedtoshinethanitwascloudedoveragain.Ihadhardlysatdownwhenhesteppedin.HardlyhadIenteredtheroomwhenIheardaloudnoise.Nosoonerhadshesatdownthanthephonerang.Thedayhadscarcelybrokenbeforehegotuptowork.6)用下列time詞組引導,表某一特定時刻發(fā)生或存在的情況:thefirsttime,
