OntheTranslationoftheProse散文翻譯原則1、文氣貫通,氣韻生動(dòng)英國散文翻譯家HilaireBelloc(希萊爾·貝洛克)為文學(xué)散文翻譯制定了6條原則,認(rèn)為翻譯的本質(zhì)是異地之魂假借本地之軀的復(fù)活(Theessenceoftranslatingistheresurrectionofanalienthinginanativebody),強(qiáng)調(diào)散文的翻譯不能拘泥于原文之字句,要視段落或部分為整體。翻譯要“以意譯意(translateintentionby

intention)”2、傳神寫照———“意,氣,文”三位一體

在散文翻譯中,我們要想譯得曲盡其妙,須得傳神地摹寫作者的氣質(zhì)神韻。每一個(gè)作者有每一個(gè)的個(gè)性特點(diǎn)、氣質(zhì)精神,著手翻譯之前,要先對作者進(jìn)行深入的研究,把握其時(shí)代背景、人生經(jīng)歷、創(chuàng)作風(fēng)格等,這樣的翻譯方能做到傳神達(dá)意,否則,難免貌合神離。PS:文學(xué)翻譯非文字翻譯文學(xué)翻譯,講求整體效果,即“神韻”。有些表面忠實(shí)的譯文,失去了散文的文采、文雅,這樣便失去了自身的價(jià)值,終究是失敗的譯文?!懊馈笔巧⑽姆g的重點(diǎn)。美感層面AlongsidetheLotusPondrunsasmallcinderfootpath.Itispeacefulandsecludedhere,aplacenotfrequentedbypedestrianseveninthedaytime;nowatnight,itlooksmoresolitary,inalush,shadyambienceoftreesallaroundthepond.Onthesidewherethepathis,therearewillows,interlacedwithsomeotherswhosenamesIdonotknow.Thefoliage,which,inamoonlessnight,wouldloomsomewhatfrighteninglydark,looksverynicetonight,althoughthemoonlightisnotmorethanathin,greyishveil.(朱純深譯文)動(dòng)感美:run、frequent、interlace、loom韻味美:peaceful、secluded、solitary、lush、shady

桃花源東晉大詩人陶淵明的名篇《桃花源記》,描繪了一處世外桃源。這世外桃源究竟在何處?眾說紛紜,但是大多數(shù)人,尤其是陶淵明故鄉(xiāng)的人認(rèn)為應(yīng)該是江西星子縣城西五里之遙的玉金山。玉金山座坐落在秀麗的廬山和浩渺的鄱陽湖之間。登上玉金山放眼四望,田疇上大小村莊星羅棋布,屋宇相連,阡陌縱橫,稻浪起伏。這便是詩人詠贊的“平疇交遠(yuǎn)風(fēng),良苗亦懷新”的畫面。

遠(yuǎn)處碧波萬頃,煙云飛出,有一峰兀立,這是詩人譽(yù)為“旁無依接,獨(dú)秀中皋”的“落星”山。再細(xì)看,山下農(nóng)家,炊煙裊裊,谷場水巷之中,雞鴨成群,頑童嬉戲,田野上人來人往,一派豐衣足食的景象,這不正是《桃花源記》中描寫的景象嗎?Inhisbrilliantessay“AttheHeadofthePeachBlossomStream”,thegreatpoetoftheEasternJinDynastyTaoYuanmingdescribedalandofpeaceawayfromtheturmoiloftheworld.ButwhereonearthwasthisancientShangri-la?Therehavebeenmayguesses.Mostpeople,especiallythosefromTaoYuanming'snativeplace,believethatitshouldbewhatisnowcalledtheYujingHill,abouttwomileswestofStarChildCounty(XingzaixianinChinese),JiangxiProvince.TheYujingHilliswedgedbetweenthepicturesqueMountLuandthemist-shroudedPoyangLake.Standingatthesummitofthehillandlookingaround,onewillseedownbelowlevelfieldsstuddedwithhamletsandvillages,wherecottagesstandinneatrows,footpathscrisscrossthefarmland,andriceearswaveinthewinds.Thisisjustthepicturedepictedbythepoetinhislines:
