Greetingsandintroduction:Goodmorningladiesandgentlemen.Iamgreatlyhonoredtohavethechancetosharemyideasabouthowtoteach/myteachingplanofIntheteachingprocess,Iwillfocusonstudent’slong-termdevelopmentandenablethemtouseproperreadingskillsandlearningstrategiesInotherwordsstudentsareguidedtoreadefficientlyandindependently.Myteachingplanincludesthreesections.Theyaretheanalysisofthematerials;identifyingtheteachingaimsandteachingproceduresSection1:AnalysisoftheteachingmaterialTheselectedteachingmaterialsisthearticleisaboutwhichisintendedtodevelopthethemeoftheunit,thatis,AfteranalyzingitcarefullyIfindthearticleSection2IdentifyingtheteachingaimsBasedontheanalysisoftheteachingmaterials,Iwillchoosethefollowingastheteachingaimsofmylesson:The1staim:studentswillstrengthentheskillsandstrategiestoreadefficiently.The2ndaimstudentswillgetabetterunderstandingofThe3rdaimstudentswillbeencouragedtofigureouttheimpliedmeaning.The4thaimstudentswillbefamiliarwithvariousexpressionsorapproachestoexpressSection3:teachingproceduresInordertoachievetheteachingaimsmentionedabove,Idecidetochooseguidedreadingandtask—basedteachingasthemainteachingapproachesWiththeteachingmethodsIwillguidestudentstouseeffectreadingstrategiestocomprehendthetextsolveproblemsandcompletedifferenttasks.Theteachingproceduresincludefourparts:theyare:leading-in/warmingup/gettingreadypre—readingwhile-readingandpostreadingPart1:gettingreadyIt'simportanttoactivatestudents’existingbackgroundknowledgeanddrawtheirattentiontothetopicofthetextInthispart,Iwillusethepre—readingactivitiestoincreasestudents’concentration,arousetheircuriosityfiretheirimaginationandgivethemthepurposeofreading.ThispartconsistsoftwotasksTask1:WiththetaskIinspirestudentspreviousknowledgeandimaginationaboutwhichcandrawtheirattentiontothethemeofthereadingmaterialsandgetthemreadyforthefollowingreadingactivities.Task2:brainstormingInThistaskIwillshowthemsomepicsofThistaskwillexcitestudentsdesiretoknowmoreaboutwiththequestioninmind,studentswilldefinitelybeeagertolistentothetape/toreadthepassagetofindtheanswerPart2Pre—readingDuringthispartIwillasksthestudentstoanswerthefollowingquestions.Studentsaresupposedtogetthemainideaofthetext.Thispartincludestasks:1/5Task1listeningWiththetaskIgetstudentstolistentothethreeparasinsteadofreadingthemthusreducingthereadingtimeandreleasingtheirpsychologicalburdenotherwisestudentswouldbediscouragedbyreading.Task2scanningandmatching:InthistaskIgetstudentstoscantochecktheanswersto,thentheyarerequiredtocompletewithasecondreadingWiththistaskthestudentslearntouseatabletogatherthemainfactsabout.TheywillcometoknowthatatableisofgreatuseintheirfuturereadingTask3:scanningfordetailsIgetthestudentstoscantheremainingparasandfindtheanswerstothequestionsWiththistaskthestudentsareexpectedtograspthethemeofthearticleTask4Definition:thestudentswillwatchaVCRwiththequestionsinmind.Thetaskservesasasupplementtowiththetaskstudentsareexpectedtoknowmoreabout.Task5:..ThetaskenablesstudentstohaveagoodknowledgeofTask6Thetaskhelpsstudentsgetafurtherunderstandingoftheroleatableplaysinhelpinggathermainfactsoropinions.Part3:while-readingreadingbetweenthelines)InthispartIwillencouragestudentstoanswerthequestions:asweknowinformationinapassageisnotalwaysstateddirectlySometimesstudentshavetoinferormakeguessesbasedontheinformationinthepassageSointhispart,studentsareaskedtoinfertheimpliedmeaningdistinguishthemainideafromthesupportingdetailsandunderstandhowthetextisorganizedThispartconsistsofthreetasks.Task1.similarsentences.TheEnglishlanguageenjoysvariouswaystoexpressthesamethingorideaIwillgetthestudentstoreadasecondtimeandfindoutthesimilarsentencesThistaskisdesignedtohelpstudentslearnandusedifferentwaystoexpressthesameideaThetaskgetsstudentsreadyfortalkingandwritingaboutTask2guessingfromthecontextThetaskhelpsstudentstorecognizethatinmostlanguage–learningsituations,theywillcomeacrossvacaburytheydon’tknowWiththetaskthestudentsareguidedtolookatthecontextinwhichawordorphraseisusedandtrytofindanycluestoitsmeaning.Task3.collection.ThetaskisintendedforthestudentstocollectmoreinformationaboutWiththetaskthestudentswillknowmoreaboutTask4understandingthetitleThetaskisdesignedtohelpthestudentsfullyunderstandthemeaningofthetitle.Part4.postreading:Asweknowmostwritersareprejudicedinsomewayandtrytoconvincetheir2/5readersofsomething,orinfluencethemtolookatthingsinacertainway,soitisimportanttotrainstudentstoreadcriticallyThispartconsistsoftwotasks:Task1Thetaskisaimedatmakingstudentsbecomecriticalreadersthestudentsshouldbeencouragedtoevaluateandmakejudgmentabouttheauthor’sattitude.Task2.writing.ThetaskaimstoconsolidatetheinformationtheyhavelearntandimprovetheirspeakingandwritingskillsOk,somuchformyteachingplanThanksforyourattention.AnalysisoftheteachingmaterialsTeachinggoalsTargetlanguageGrammar:reviewattributiveclauses;ThefuturepassivevoiceVocabulary:keywordsandphrases/usefulexpressions/structuresFunctionaskingforandgivingopinionsTalkingaboutinterestsandhobbiesAgreementanddisagreementMakingdecisionsReasoningIntention&purposeapologies
