systemindieselengines),showninFig.3-2.3.1.2MainComponentsofEngineThepowermechanismoftheengineisactuallycalledthecrankshaftandconnectingrodmechanism.Itsfunctionistoconvertheatenergyintomechanicalenergyusedtodrivethevehicles.Thevalvegearprovidestimelyadmissionofthefreshchargeintothecylindersandexhaustofspentgasesfromthem.Thefunctionofthecoolingsystemistomaintainthehighestandmostefficientoperatingtemperaturewithintheengineandtoremoveexcessheat(余熱)fromtheengine.3.1.2MainComponentsofEngineThelubricationsystemisdesignedtokeepalltheenginepartslubricatedsothatfriction(摩擦)isreduced.Thefuelsystemworksaccordingtotherequirementsoftheengineasitprovidesanair-fuelmixturewhichmustbeinproportiontothespeedandloadplacedontheengine.Thefuelsystemsendstheair-fuelmixturetothecylinderforburningandsimultaneously(同時(shí)地)exhauststheeffluentgasthroughtheexhaustpipe.3.1.2MainComponentsofEngineTheignitionsystemisdesignedtoignitetheairandfuelthathavebeenmixedinthefuelsystem.Thestartingsystemprovidesthepowertoturntheinternalcombustionengineoveruntilitcanoperateunderitsownpower.3.1.2MainComponentsofEnginePractice—MaintenanceManualReadingInspectingengineassemblyPractice—MaintenanceManualReading1.Inspectcoolant
