Itallstartedwithasmallpacketofseedsthatmymomboughtfromthegardenshop.WechoseapacketofsunflowerseedsbecauseIlovesunflowersandIwantedtoseehowtheygrowfromatinyseedintoabig,beautifulflower.

First,wepreparedthesoil.Momshowedmehowtomixcompostandregularsoilinapottocreatearichandfertileenvironmentfortheseedling.Itwaslikemakingaspecialtreatfortheseedling!Ihelpedmomscoopthesoilintothepotandsmoothitoutwithmyhands.

Oncethesoilwasready,itwastimetoplanttheseed.Momcarefullyexplainedtomethatweneededtodigasmallholeinthesoil,justbigenoughfortheseedtofitin.Iusedmyfingertomakethehole,andthenweplacedtheseedgentlyinside.Afterthat,wecoveredtheseedwithathinlayerofsoiltoprotectit.
