Whencomparingmultipleworthwhileprojects,prioritywouldbegiventotheprojectwiththehighestbenefit-costratio. TheEastStockton,California,UrbanRenewalProjectwasofficiallyapprovedbythefederalgovernmentinJuly1959.Theworkbook,“UrbanRenewal.xls”,whichcanbedownloadedfromthecoursedownloadwebpage,displaysthevariouscostsassociatedwiththerenewalprojectandthetimeatwhichtheyoccurred.Mostofthecostswereactuallyincurredoveranintervaloftime;insuchcasesthecenteroftheintervalisusedasthedateofthecost.
