anunprecedentedforceforpositivechange,comprising18,000youngleadersdrivingactionin500majorcities,remoteislandsandrefugeecampsin154countriesandterritories.

Withafocusonbuildingyouthleaders,acceleratingyouthactionandamplifyingyouthvoices,theGlobalShapersCommunity

hasachievedsignificantmilestonesthisyear.Over1,800

changemakersweredirectlyequippedwithessentialleadership

skillsthroughtargetedinitiativesworldwide.Notably,1,000youngpeopleparticipatedinsixregionalSHAPEevents,promotingglobalcollaborationanddrivingmulti-citymovementsforchange.

TheGlobalShapersAnnualSummitconvened500young

innovatorsattheWorldEconomicForum,acceleratingvalues-

basedleadershipandestablishingenduringpartnershipswithover10Forumcentresandinitiatives.Thesummitattractedthelargestvirtualaudiencetodate–withover9,600youngpeopletuningintodiscoverhowtheForumisworkingwithnext-generationleaderstoaddresscriticalglobalissues.

Asweapproachthemidpointofthe2030Agenda,theGlobalShapersCommunityremainscommittedtoacceleratingyouthactionandimprovingoutcomesforpeopleandtheplanet.

In2024,wecelebratedaremarkableachievementinourseven-yearpartnershipwithTheClimateRealityProject,as1,000

GlobalShapersbecamecertifiedclimateactionleaders.Thisisjustoneexampleofhowwearedrivingchangeacrossoursiximpactareas,includingprotectingtheplanet,strengtheningdemocracy,acceleratingreskilling,promotingsocialjustice,

improvingwell-beingandsafeguardingthemostvulnerable.

Thisyear,ourchangemakersimplementedover400localsocialchangeinitiatives,whichhaveengagedmorethan1millionpeopleglobally.Tocontinueequippingyoungpeoplewithsupporttoscaleourimpact,weproudlylaunchedaninnovationprize,whichwillrecognizetopsolutionsledbyhubsinpartnershipwithAccentureandtheGlobalAllianceforYOUth.

Finally,theForumuseditsconveningpowertoamplifyinfluentialyouthvoicesatourmeetingsthisyear.AttheAnnualMeetinginDavos,50GlobalShapersadvancedinspiringintergenerationalsolutionsamong3,000worldleadersfromdiversesectors.

GlobalShapersareagedbetween18and30.Since2011,

over30,000youngpeoplehaveproudlyjoinedourhubs

worldwide.Duringthistime,membershaveimplementedover3,000projects,improvingthelivesofover2.5millionpeoplewithimprovedaccesstoeducation,employment,housingand

healthcare,andengaged15millionpeoplegloballyinawarenesscampaignsandresearchinitiativesonthetopicsthatyoung

peoplecareaboutmost.

Ourcommunityofferschangemakershands-onexperiencestodevelop

skillsinorganizingandleadingsocialchange.

Thisyear,over1,800changemakerswereequippedwith

essentialleadershipskillsthroughtargetedinitiativesworldwide.Notably,1,000youngpeopleparticipatedinsixregionalSHAPEevents,promotingglobalcollaborationanddrivingmulti-city

movementsforchange.

In2023,75%ofGlobalShapersself-reportedanincreased

understandingoflocalandregionalissuesthankstoour

activities.Notably,73%ofmembersreportedincreasedself-

confidenceandself-awareness.Similarly,73%ofmembers

identifiednewwaystotakelocalaction,and41%wereinspiredtostarttheirownsocialenterprises.

Wethankthisyear’sSHAPEhosts–theAbuDhabiHub,

BangkokHub,KathmanduHub,ManausHub,TshwaneHubandWashingtonDCHubs–forcreatingmeaningfulmomentsforourmemberstolearnfromoneanotherandleadingsocial

enterprisesincitiesaroundtheworld.MemberswillvaluetheinsightsgeneratedfromSHAPEsforyearstocome.

TheGlobalShapersAnnualSummitalsoconvened500younginnovatorsattheWorldEconomicForum,acceleratingvalues-basedleadershipandestablishingenduringpartnershipswithover10Forumcentresandinitiatives.Thesummitattracted

thelargestvirtualaudiencetodate–withover9,600young

peopletuningintodiscoverhowtheForumisworkingwithnext-generationleaderstoaddresscriticalglobalissues.

Whenevaluatingthesummit’slearningoutcomes,98%ofGlobalShapersreporteddevelopingvaluableskillstoorganizesocial

change,includinghowtobuildteams,inspirepeople,partner

withstakeholdersandleadlocalprojects.Similarly,96%ofGlobalShaperssharedthattheirparticipationhelpedtoenhancetheir

leadershipskills,notablyimprovingtheirself-awareness,empathy,commitmentandmotivationtomobilizeothersthisyear.

In2024,wealsocelebratedasignificantmilestoneinourseven-yearpartnershipwithTheClimateRealityProject:1,000GlobalShapersbecamecertifiedClimateRealtyLeaderswithover

200memberstrainedbyUSVice-PresidentAlGoreinAccra,RomeandNewYork.Throughthesetrainings,GlobalShapersgainedtheskills,know-howandnetworkstoadvancepracticalclimatesolutionsacrossdiversesectors.SincetheClimate

RealityIncubatorandInnovationGrantChallengewaslaunchedin2021,weareproudtohavesupportedandfundedover100diverseyouth-ledinitiativesthathaverangedfromacceleratingreforestationinAbuja,Nigeria,topioneeringsustainablewastemanagementpracticesinQuito,Ecuador,andaddressingthegrowingenvironmentalrisksofe-wasteinBrisbane,Australia.

Finally,100ofourtopinnovatorsandactivists–GlobalShaperscommittedtoaddressingthegreatestsocialandenvironmentalchallengesofourtime—weresupportedwithsixmonths

ofexecutivecoachingthroughCoaching.ComFoundation.

Coachingenabledyoungchangemakerstoincreasetheirsocialimpactwhileprioritizingpersonalwell-being.

years.IntheRiodeJaneiroHub,GlobalShapershaveconstructed

twokeyholegardensandfourmobilegreenhousesthroughtheirproject,UrbanAgroecology,toenhancelocalagriculturalcapacity.Gardensandgreenhousesprioritizetraditionalfarmingpractices,productsandplants–andhavesupported60familiesinthreefavelasandtrainedover100regenerativeurbanagriculturalentrepreneurs.

Nineoutof10childreninGazaareexperiencingseverefoodpoverty.

Together,GlobalShapersaroundtheworldestablishedtheConnect

PalestineinitiativetomobilizeurgenthumanitarianreliefforyoungpeopleinGaza–includingmembersoftheGlobalShapersGazaHub.$250,000wascrowdfundedbyyoungchangemakerstosecurefoodandmedicalsuppliesforvulnerablecommunitiesinGaza,aswellasprovideyouthlife-saving

relocationsupport.

Diverseliteraturefacessignificantchallenges,resultinginthemarginalizationofstoriesfromunderrepresentedgroups,suchaspeopleofcolourand

theLGBTQIA+community.IntheOrlandoHub,GlobalShapershave
