(教材P73)besupposedto后接動詞原形,相當(dāng)于should或oughtto,用來表示勸告、建議、義務(wù)、責(zé)任等。其否定形式為benotsupposedto,意為“不應(yīng)該”。e.g.Wearesupposedtohelpeachother.=Weshouldhelpeachother.=Weoughttohelpeachother.我們應(yīng)該互相幫助。【拓展】suppose表示“認(rèn)為,推斷”時,其后常接賓語從句,它的近義詞為think,regard,consider。在賓語從句中其否定要前移(主語多為第一人稱)。e.g.Idon’tsupposeyouareright.

預(yù)料;期待expect為及物動詞,后接名詞、動詞不定式或that從句。其常見搭配有:expectsb./sth.

等待(期待)某人/某物expect(sb.)todosth.

期望(某人)做某事expect+that從句

預(yù)料......e.g.Iexpectanexcitingtrip.

我期待一次令人興奮的旅行。Ididn’texpecthimtobeasuccessfulwriter.
