TheKeysightTechnologies,Inc.33250Afunction/arbitrarywaveformgeneratorusesdirectdigital-synthesistechniquestocreateastable,accurateoutputonallwaveforms,downto1μHzfrequencyresolution.Thebenefitsareapparentineverysignalyouproduce,fromthesinewavefrequencyaccuracytothefastrise/falltimesofsquarewaves,totheramplinearity.

Front-paneloperationofthe33250Aisstraightforwardanduserfriendly.Theknobornumerickeypadcanbeusedtoadjustfrequency,amplitudeandoffset.YoucanevenentervoltagevaluesdirectlyinVpp,Vrms,dBm,orhigh/lowlevels.Timingparameterscanbeenteredinhertz(Hz)orseconds.

CustomWaveformGeneration

Whysettleforabasicfunctiongeneratorwhenyoucangetarbitrarywaveformsatnoextracost?Withthe33250A,youcangeneratearbitrarywaveformswith12-bitverticalresolution,64Kmemorydepth,andasamplerateof200MSa/s.Youcanalsostoreuptofour64K-deeparbitrarywaveformsinnon-volatilememorywithuser-definednamestohelpyoufindtherightwaveformwhenyouneeditmost.

TheincludedKeysightIntuiLinksoftwareallowsyoutoeasilycreate,edit,anddownloadcomplexwaveformsusingtheIntuiLinkarbitrarywaveformeditor.OryoucancaptureawaveformusingIntuiLinkoscilloscopeorDMMandsendittothe33250Aforoutput.

Forprogrammers,ActiveXcomponentscanbeusedtocontroltheinstrumentusingSCPIcommands.

ColorGraphicalDisplay

Theuniquedesignofthe33250Acombinesalow-profileinstrumentwiththebenefitsofacolorgraphicaldisplay.Nowyoucandisplaymultiplewaveformparametersatthesametime.Thegraphicalinterfacealsoallowsyoutomodifyarbitrarywave-formsquicklyandeasily.

10MHzclock,toanother33250A,ortoanotherKeysight332XXAfunction/arbitrarywafeformgenerator.Phaseadjustmentscanbemadefromthefrontpanelorviaacomputerinterface,allowingprecisephasecalibrationandadjustment.

The33250Acangeneratesimplepulsesupto50MHz.Withvariableedgetime,pulsewidthandvoltagelevel,the33250Aisideallysuitedtoawidevarietyofpulseapplications.

Built-inVersatility

AM,FMandFSKcapabilitiesmakeiteasytomodulatewaveformswithorwithoutaseparatesource.Linearorlogarithmicsweepscanbeperformedwithaprogrammablefrequencymarkersignal.Programmableburstcountandgatingallowyoutofurthercustomizeyoursignal.

Forsystemapplications,bothGPIBandRS-232interfacesarestandard,andsupportfullprogrammabilityusingSCPIcommands.
