externalsourceshadthemostconnectivity.Aftertheyhadfinished,theAIchatbotgroupwas

alsotheleastabletoquotesentencesfromtheiressays.

Eighteenparticipantswerelatercalledbacktorewriteoneoftheiressays.Thistimethe

groupswereswitched—thosewhohadusedtheAIchatbotbeforenowhadtowritewithno

externalsources,andthosewhohadpreviouslyusednoexternalsourcesnowcouldusetheAI

chatbot.Itwasfoundthatallparticipantsfromtheno-external-sourcesgroupcouldremember

llthetopicstheyhadwrittenaboutbefore.ButonlythreeofthosewhohadusedtheAI

chatbotcouldrememberalloftheirtopics.AndthosewhohadusedtheAIchatbotbeforestill

showedweakerbrainconnectivityevenwhentheywerewritingwithoutusinganyexternal
