In grammar a predicative is an element of the predicate of a sentence which supplements the subject or object by means of the verb. A

33、predicative may be nominal or adjectival. If the complement after a linking verb is an adjective, it is called a predicate adjective. e.g. He seems nice. 37、essionally active?” The were-subjunctive has only one form “were”, which applies to subject of all persons.,It is hypothetical or unreal in meaning and is commonly used in adverbial clauses introduced by “if, if only, as if, as though, though, etc” to denote an unreal condition or concession. e.g. I
