Master the new words and useful expressions. Words: zero nine, telephone, number, phone, first name, last name, friend, middle school, China Phrases: telephone/phone number 2. Master the target language:Whats your/his/her telephone number? Its 3. Be able to read and write telephone numbers. 4. Improve students listening and speaking skills. 難點(diǎn)1. Improve students listening and speaking skills. 2. The usage of target language. 【教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備】 A projector, a tape recorder, some number cards, handouts.【教學(xué)方法】任務(wù)型教學(xué)法、情景交際法、自主學(xué)習(xí)與合作學(xué)習(xí)相結(jié)合【課時(shí)安排】 One period【教學(xué)過(guò)程】Step 1: Greetings and revision 1. Daily greetings to the students T: Good morning, everyone. My name is Peter. Whats your name, please? S1: My name is Lily. T: Hello, Lily. Nice to meet you! S1: Nice to meet you, too. T: And whats your name? S2: My name is 2. Revision S1: Good morning. Whats your name, please? S2: My name is Jack. Whats your name, please? S1: My name is Susan. And whats his name, please? S3: His name is Tony. And whats her name? S1: Step 2: Lead-in T: Please tell me how to say it in English? (Show the Ss the number cards, one by one) Ss: Its one. Ss: Its two. Step 3: Presentation1. Teach activity 1a (1) Show the number cards to students, and ask students to read them. (2) Play the tape for students to listen and repeat. Focus on the pronunciation of 3,8,9. (3) Invite some students to read these numbers one by one. Correct mistakes if there is any. 2. Teach activity 1b (1) Ask the students how the number is divided up. Guide them to understand that three numbers come before the hyphen and four numbers after it. (2) Play the tape for the Ss. T: Now lets listen to the tape. Listen to the tape and write down the telephone number on your book. (3) Check the answers. Answers: 278-6926 Step 4: Practice 1. Teach activities 1c (1) Divide the Ss into groups. Each group has four students. (2) T: Now please work with your group and ask each other questions about phone numbers. Eg: S1: Whats your telephone number, S2? S2: Its 356-9865. S1: 356-9865. Thanks. 2. Teach activity 1d&1e (1) Point to the numbered names. Read each one aloud along with the number that comes after it. (2) Say each number and ask a student to read the name before that number. (3) Tell students to listen to the tape and match the names with the telephone numbers. (4) Point to the blanks in the four telephone numbers. Tell the students that the last two numbers of each telephone number are missing. Listen to the tape and then fill in these numbers. (5) Check the answers. Answers: 1d: 1.c 2.d 3.b 4.a 1e: 278-7928, 555-8042, 398-6149, 929-31603. Teach activity 1f (1) Ask students to read through the instruction so that they can know how to play this game. (2) Then ask them to look at the pictures to see what they are doing, and read the sample conversation so that they can know its meaning. (3) Follow the instruction. Ask students to write their phone numbers on a piece of paper and put it in a bag. Then take out a piece of paper and find out the owner.Step 5: Consolidation (1) Show some useful pictures, and let students guess the phone numbers which are used in these conditions. T: What number should we dial when.? (2) Put students into pairs to make conversations. As they work, walk around the room, checking their progress and offering help as needed.【課堂小結(jié)
