1、Scene 1場景1 :皇宮Characters : the Emperor , Soldier-A and Soldier-B (人物:皇帝,士兵 A, 士兵 B)Narrator : Many years ago there Iived an emperor. He was very fond of new clothes that hespent a I I hi s money in order to obtain them; h i s on Iy wi sh was to a I ways be we I I dressed. He had a coat for every hou

One day, the Emperor said (to Soldiers): 旁白:很久以前有一個皇帝,他非常喜歡新衣服,因此他把他所有的錢都花在衣服上,他唯一的愿望就是每時每刻都能穿得很漂亮。在一天里,他每個鐘頭都要換一套新的衣服。有一天,皇帝(對士兵說)Emperor: Are there any new things about clothes today?皇帝:今天有沒有有關(guān)新衣服的消息? Soldier-A : Today man came to our city. They said they were the best weavers in the

3、 wor Id.士兵A:今天有兩個人來到我們的城市,他們說自己是世界上最好的織工。Soldier-B : And that they couId produce the fi nest cloth, which was not only beautiful, but the clothes couIdn 1 t be seen to any man who stupi d.而且用它縫出來的衣服,凡是士兵B:他們還說他們能織出最美麗的布。這些布不僅僅非常好看, 愚蠢的人都看不見。而且用它縫出來的衣服,凡是Emperor : That must be wonderfuI cloth,Emperor

5、 cloth們來給我織布。Soldier-A : Yes, r ight away.士兵A:好的,我立刻去。Emperor : (to soldier-B) Set up two rooms for them.皇帝:準備兩間房子給他們。 Soldier-B : Yes, r ight away.士兵B:是的,我立刻去做。Scene 2場景2:織布機房,投影片畫面上有織布機,有燈光。Characters : Narratoe, Weaver A, Weaver BNarrator : The two weavers were asked to work in the two new rooms.

6、 They pretended to be very hard at work, but they did nothing whatever in the rooms. They asked for the finest silk and the most precious gold-cloth. and worked in the empty rooms till late at night. 旁白:兩個織工被叫到兩間新房子工作。他們假裝努力工作,實際上卻什么都沒有做。他們要求找 來最好的絲綢和最貴的金紡布料,假裝在那些空房間里工作到深夜。(表演建議:解說時,兩個騙子在機房里做著織布的動作,

7、按劇情表演。Scene 3場景3:皇宮(與場景1同)Characters: the Emperor , Old Minister (皇帝,老大臣)Emperor :(幾天后皇帝在皇宮里走來走去)I shou I d very much I i ke to know how they are getting on with the cloth. But if I can not see it, I am stup id. I dont want that. I must send somebody eIse to look.皇帝:我很想知道他們的織布究竟織得怎樣了。但如果我看不見的話,那就說明我

8、是愚蠢的人。我 不能這樣做,我應(yīng)該先派一個人去看看。Emperor :(to the old mini ster) You an honest man. So I want you to take a look at mynew cloth and report back to me.皇帝:(對老大臣說)你是個誠實聰明的人,所以我派你去看一看我的新布料,然后向我匯報。 Old Minister : Yes, r i ght away.老大臣:我現(xiàn)在就去。Scene 4場景4 (與場景2同)Characters : Minister , Weaver-A, Weaver-B Old Minist

9、er :(老大臣來到那兩間新房子。邊看、邊想著.看了看,走到臺的一側(cè),對 觀眾說)Oh!my god! I cannot see anything at all.大臣:我的天啊!我什么都看不見。 Weaver-A: He I Io! Mr. Mini Ster, come cIoSer and youI I See.織工A:你好,大臣先生,你可以走近點,看清楚一點。Weaver-B: Oh, Mr. MiniSter, did you See theSe beautiful colorS. HowwonderfuI it iS! 織工B:啊,大臣先生,看見這些漂亮的顏色嗎?多么美?。arra

10、tor : The poor minister tr ied hiS very beSt, but he could See nothing, for there waS nothing to be Seen.He thought, Oh dear, can I be So Stupid? I Should never have thoughtSo, and nobody muSt know it! IS it poSSible that I am not fitfor my office? No,So, and nobody muSt know it! IS it poSSible that

No,因為那里根本就什么東西都沒 也不能讓任何人知道。難道是cannot Say that I waS unable to See the cloth.因為那里根本就什么東西都沒 也不能讓任何人知道。難道是有。大臣想:天啊,難道是我愚蠢的人?我從來都沒懷疑過自己,旁白:這個可憐的大臣盡他最大的努力去看,可是他什么都看不到,有。大臣想:天啊,難道是我愚蠢的人?我從來都沒懷疑過自己,我不適合這個位置?不,不,我不能說我沒有看到布。Weaver-A: Have you nothing to Say?織工A:現(xiàn)在你有什么意見嗎?01d MiniS

12、ter : Oh, it iS very pretty. Very very beautiful! What beautiful patternS ( 式 樣)! What br i ght colorS! I wi I I tell the Emperor thiS i S the beSt cIoth i n the worId.老 大臣:啊,多么美啊,美極了!多么漂亮的式樣啊,多么美麗的色彩啊!我會呈報皇帝這是天下最好 的布。Weaver-A and Weaver-B : We are happy to hear that.織工A和B:聽到你的話我們真高興。Narrator : The

13、weaverS told the cloth to him. The oId miniSter I iStened carefuI Iy, So that he couId re I ate it back to the Emperor. Then the weaverS aSked for more money,Si Ik and go Id. They kept everything for themSeIveS, and pretended to work hard.旁白:織工們向大臣描述這些布的顏色和花紋,大臣注意的聽著,以便照樣說給皇帝聽。然后兩個織工要求更多的錢,絲和金子。他們把所

15、此你去看看他們進行得怎樣,看看布是不是 快織好了。Young MiniSter : Thank you for your praiSe年輕大臣:謝謝您的夸獎。Scene 5場景5:織布機房,同場景 2)Characters: Young Minister , Weaver-A Weaver-B Narrator : Like the old miniSter, he Iooked and Iooked but could See nothing, aS there waS nothi ng to be Seen.旁白:就像老臣一樣,他看了又看,但是什么也沒看見,因為那里本來就沒有東西。(建議表

The Off i c i a I I i stened attentively. so that he mi ght re I ate to the Emperor what they said Everybody i n the who Ie town ta Iked about the prec i ous cloth.旁白:織工們向他描述這些布奇異的顏色和花紋,年輕達成注意的聽著,以便回到皇帝那去,可以 照樣說出來。城市里所有的人都在談

He came to the rooms with a I I his staff.旁白:最后,皇帝決定親自去看看。他跟著他的大臣們來到機房。Emperor :(

How terr i bIe it is.(轉(zhuǎn)向兩個騙子,說)Rea I ly, your cIoth has our most gracious approvaI.皇帝:怎么回事? 我什么都看不見,難道我愚蠢?還是我不適合當皇帝呢?好可怕啊。啊,你們的布我非常贊賞。Narrator : Al I h i s attendants with him couId see看到任何東西。Offici

23、ew suit.旁白:舉行游行大典的前一天晚上,兩個織工假裝在工作。人們可以看出他們是在忙著趕制皇帝的新 裝。Weaver-A and Weaver-B : The emperor 1 s new suit i s ready now.織工們:皇帝的新裝做好了。Nar ra tor : The Weavers he I d t he i r arms up as i f t hey he I d some thing in t he i r hands . 旁白: 織工們把他們的手臂高高舉起,好象他們手里拿著什么東西。Weaver-A : These are the trousers!織工A:

25、 new suits before the large mi rror 織工A:現(xiàn)在請陛下脫去衣服,我們要在這個大鏡子面前為陛下?lián)Q上新裝。Narrator : The emperor undressed, and the Weavers pretended to put the new suit upon him, and the emperor looked at himseIf in the mi rror from every side旁白:皇帝脫去身上的衣服,織工們假裝給他穿上新衣,皇帝在鏡子前轉(zhuǎn)換著角度看著鏡子里的自 己。Off i c i a I-A : How wonderfuI

How nice the cloth i s!年輕大臣:多好看的花紋?。?這真是一套華麗的衣服!Scene 8場景8:在大街上Characters: the Emperor , Off i c i a I-A, Off i c i a I-Bres i dentA res i dent-B, the father and aI ittle boyNar

27、rator : The emperor marched in the procession under a beautiful canopy. PeopIe who saw him on the street exclaimed in surpr i se.旁白:皇帝在那個富麗的華蓋下游行著,所有站在街上和 窗戶的人都在驚叫著。Resident-A : Indeed, the emperor s new suit i s nice ! 居民 A:真的,皇帝的新裝真的無與倫 比!那長袍多適合他??!
