devote…to獻(xiàn)身于…… getdownto…認(rèn)真考慮…… payattentionto…注意…… stickto…堅(jiān)持…… getusedto…習(xí)慣于…… leadto…導(dǎo)致……9.WhatarethemaindifferencesbetweenJuniorHighschoolandSeniorHighschool?Main作形容詞,意為“最主要的,最重要的”。EgShenoteddownthemainpointsofthespeech.作名詞,意為“主要部分,要點(diǎn)”。EgShedevotedthemainofthesecondchaptertothepoliticalsystemofthecountry.※[辨析]major&main(1)major作形容詞,與minor對(duì)應(yīng),意為“較大的”;“較多的”;“主要的”。EgThemajorpartofthetownwasruined.,(2)major作名詞,意為“(大學(xué)中的)主修科目”;“主要公司(企業(yè),組織等)”。EgEnglishismymajor.(3)major作不及物動(dòng)詞,常與介詞in連用,表示“主修”。EgImajorinEnglish.我主修英語(yǔ)。10.LiKangisveryimpressedwiththeteachersandthetechnologyinhisnewschool.Impress及物動(dòng)詞(1)給予(人)印象。EgTheirmannersimpressedusfavorably.(2)使(人、心等)銘記(事、物)(un,upon)。EgThataccidentimpressedonmethenecessityoftrafficregulations.(3)感動(dòng)(人),打動(dòng)(人心)(with,by)。EgHeimpressedtheworldwithhisadventure.他的冒險(xiǎn)精神使全球的人深受感動(dòng)。11.Wouldyoumindansweringthequestionsforme?句型Would/Couldyouminddoingsth?是比較禮貌的表示請(qǐng)求說(shuō)法,要注意謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞mind后要跟動(dòng)詞的ing形式,不可以用不定式?;卮饡r(shí),如果答應(yīng)(同意)做某事用No./Notatall./Ofcoursenot./Oh,noplease.等,即表示不介意。
