weregroupedbygeneration—Desktopcomputers,basicmobilephones,andbox-setTVsdefined
1992.Digitalcamerasarrivedonthescenein1997.AndMP3players,smartphones,andLCDTVs
enteredhomesin2002,beforetabletsande-readersshowedupin2007.
Asweaccumulatedmoredevices,however,wedidn'tthrowoutouroldones.'Theliving-room
televisionisreplacedandgetsplantedinthekids*room,andsuddenlyoneday,youhaveaTVin
