Thisunitfocusesonthethemeof"FunClubs",andthisprojectistheculminationoftheentireunit.Itbelongstothethemecategoryof"SelfandSociety"inthecurriculumstandard,specificallyrelatedtothesubthemesof"SchoolLife"and"InterpersonalmunicationandTeamwork".Throughthisproject,studentsarerequiredtoprehensivelyutilizethelanguageknowledgeandskillslearnedinthisunit,whichnotonlyhelpstoconsolidatestudents'understandingofvocabularyandsentencepatternsrelatedtoclubsbutalsopromotesthedevelopmentoftheirprehensivelanguageapplicationability,creativity,andteamworkspirit.

StudentsinGradeSevenhavealreadylearnedsomebasicEnglishvocabularyandsimplesentencepatterns.Inthisunit,theyhavemasteredsomeEnglishwordsrelatedtoschoolclubnames,clubactivities,personalabilities,andinterests,aswellastheusageofthemodalverb"can"toexpressabilities.TheyalsohaveacertainfoundationinEnglishlistening,speaking,reading,andwritingskills.Theycanunderstandthetextstructureandcontentofclubrecruitmentadvertisementstosomeextent,andhavearelativelyintuitiveunderstandingofdialoguesinclubrecruitmentsituations.

Dividestudentsintogroupsof45.Eachgroupdiscussesandfillsinthefollowinginformationintheform:

Afterthediscussion,askeachgrouptoselectarepresentativetobrieflyintroducetheirclubplanningideastothewholeclass.
