changethisyear.ClimatechangehasalsobeendisplacedfromthetopspotinEurope(bygeopoliticalinstability)andAfrica(cybersecurity).Theseresultsindicateadeepeningsenseofpolycrisis,makingacomprehensiveapproachtomanagingrisksmorecrucialthanever.

Alargemajorityofrespondents—86%ofexpertsand84%ofthegeneral

population—agreethattherisksthatworrythemmostcouldbeatleast

partiallyavoidedbystrongpreventiveaction.Scientistsandacademics

continuetoinspirethegreatestconfidenceintheircapabilitytoaddressrisk,with78%ofexpertsand68%ofthegeneralpopulationsayingtheywouldtrustthesegroupstohelplimittheconsequencesofafuturecrisis—althoughthesefiguresaredownfromlastyear,astheyareforarangeofotheractors.
