TheCounselingRoom,establishedasasanctuaryforstudentstoseekemotionalsupportandguidance,aimstoprovideasafe,confidential,andsupportiveenvironment.Toensuretheeffectiveoperationandmaintenanceofthisvitalservice,thefollowingmanagementregulationsaresetforth.TheseregulationsaredesignedtoprotecttherightsandprivacyofallindividualsutilizingtheCounselingRoom,aswellastomaintaintheintegrityandprofessionalismofthecounselingservicesprovided.
1.PurposeandScope
1.1ThepurposeoftheCounselingRoomistoofferconfidentialandprofessionalcounselingservicestostudentsfacingpersonal,academic,orpsychologicalchallenges.
1.2Theseregulationsapplytoallstudents,staff,andfacultyutilizingtheCounselingRoom,aswellastoallindividualsworkingwithintheCounselingRoom.
2.AccessandEligibility
2.1AccesstotheCounselingRoomisopentoallcurrentlyenrolledstudentsoftheinstitution.
2.2Staffandfacultymayalsoseekcounselingservices,providedtheyhavecompletedthenecessaryconsentformsandarenotinapositionofauthorityoverthestudentseekingcounseling.
2.3ExternalindividualsmaybegrantedaccesstotheCounselingRoomunderspecialcircumstances,subjecttoapprovalbytheCounselingRoomsupervisor.
3.Confidentiality
3.1Allcounselingsessionsarestrictlyconfidential.Informationsharedduringsessionswillnotbedisclosedtoanythirdpartywithouttheexplicitconsentoftheclient,exceptincaseswherethereisariskofharmtotheclientorothers.
3.2CounselingRoomstaffarerequiredtoadheretothehigheststandardsofconfidentialityandprofessionalethics.
4.AppointmentSystem
4.1StudentsmayscheduleappointmentswiththeCounselingRoombycallingorvisitingtheoffice.
4.2TheCounselingRoomwillstrivetoaccommodateallstudentswithinareasonabletimeframe,buttheremaybeinstanceswhereawaitlistisnecessary.
4.3Appointmentsareforafixeddurationandmaybeextendeduponmutualagreementbetweenthecounselorandtheclient.
5.SessionProcedures
5.1CounselingsessionswillbeconductedinaprivateandcomfortablesettingwithintheCounselingRoom.
5.2Thecounselorwillintroducethemselves,explainthecounselingprocess,andensuretheclientiscomfortablewiththesession.
5.3Thecounselorwillactivelylistentotheclient’sconcerns,providesupport,andofferguidanceasappropriate.
5.4Clientsareencouragedtoexpresstheirfeelingsandthoughtsopenly,knowingthattheirprivacyisprotected.
6.TerminationofServices
6.1Counselingservicesmaybeterminatedatanytimebyeitherthecounselorortheclient,withorwithoutnotice.
6.2Ifthecounselordeterminesthattheclientisnotbenefitingfromthecounselingprocess,theymayrecommendalternativeresourcesorservices.
6.3Iftheclientisunabletocontinuewithcounselingsessions,theyareencouragedtodiscussthiswiththeircounselortoexplorepotentialsolutions.
7.StaffandResources
7.1TheCounselingRoomwillbestaffedbyqualifiedandlicensedcounselorswhoaretrainedinvarioustherapeutictechniques.
7.2TheCounselingRoomwillprovidearangeofresources,includingliterature,self-helpmaterials,andaccesstoothersupportservicesoncampus.
7.3Staffwillreceiveongoingtrainingandsupervisiontoensurethehigheststandardsofcarearemaintained.
8.HealthandSafety
8.1TheCounselingRoomwillbekeptcleanandwell-maintained,withappropriateventilationandcomfortableseating.
8.2ClientsareexpectedtofollowallhealthandsafetyguidelineswhileusingtheCounselingRoom.
8.3Intheeventofanemergency,theCounselingRoomstaffwillfollowtheinstitution’semergencyresponseprocedures.

4.2Counselingsessionsaretypically50minuteslongandarescheduledonaweeklyorbi-weeklybasis,dependingonthestudent'sneeds.
4.3TheCounselingRoomstaffiscomprisedoflicensedmentalhealthprofessionals,includingpsychologists,counselors,andsocialworkers,whoaretrainedtohandleavarietyofissues.
4.4TheCounselingRoomadherestothehigheststandardsofprofessionalethicsandiscommittedtoongoingtrainingandsupervisionofitsstaff.
5.AppointmentandCancellationPolicy
