2、 situation.Teaching materials: A Toy robot, A controller, VCD , PPT, Exercise sheets.Teaching procedure:Step 1 Warm-up1. Lets sing(VCD) : I Can Help2. Lets chant (VCD ):Cook the meals. Water the plants. Wash the clothes. No time to dance! Make the bed. Sweep the floor. Empty the trash. And there is

3、more. Oh, please! No more!Step 2 Preview1. Review the phrases learned : sweep the floor, cook the meals, water the flowers, empty the trash, clean the bedroom, make the bed, set the table, wash the clothes, do the dishes, put away the clothes. Game : Three students a group stand in front each time,

4、one student does the action by looking at the phrase showed on the PPT. The other two students look at the student who does the action and says out the phrase as quickly as they can. The one who says out the phrase first is winner.2. Review the sentences learned : Can you ? Yes, I can. / No, I cant.

5、 Game (Pair work) :Ask the question: “Can you ?” in turns. One asks, the other answers by the result of doing “Paper, Scissor, Stone” together. If he/she wins ,he/she answers: “Yes, I can.” Otherwise , he/she answers: “No, I cant.”Step 3 Presentation1. Present the word “robot”: Put the robot in a ba

6、g before the class. Show out the bag , ask a student to touch and guess whats in the bag. After guessing, take out the robot and teach the word “ robot”.2. Present the phrase “use a computer”: 1) Ask one student out to walk like a robot, have him imitate a robot and talk. Teacher(T) : Can you make t

Present the phrase “play chess”:1) Take out a controller, and say: “Look, this is a controller. I use

8、this controller to control my robot .” Then ask one student out to be a robot, tell him that he must act like a robot when hears the instructions.T(Teacher presses the controller- “Beep” and says): Robot, cook the meals. (The student acts like a robot to cook the meals. ) Stop, now sweep the floor.
