Unit1 May I Speak to Kitty 【內(nèi)容來源】陜旅教育出版社六年級下冊 Unit1【單元總目標(biāo)】當(dāng)今時代,人們獲得信息的方式已經(jīng)多元化。而電腦、手機更是人們相互聯(lián)系、獲取信息最快捷的方式之一。本單元首先讓學(xué)生根據(jù)各自的生活經(jīng)驗來觀察、認(rèn)識移動電話在生活中的作用,從而引入怎樣用英語打電話,即電話用語教學(xué),以及怎樣合理使用手機的話題。單元教學(xué)的重點是電話用語,而難點在于怎樣在話題討論中鍛煉學(xué)生的語用能力及與人溝通的能力。通過學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生能在打電話情景中學(xué)會使用電話用語與人進行交流。比如,May I speak to .? Whos that? This is . speaking.等。語用練習(xí)中,需要掌握幾個動詞短語:make a phone call, go on the Internet, send a message, read an e-book, send an e-mail。本單元的教學(xué)可分為4個課時。第一課時以Part A中Lets learn部分的詞匯教學(xué)為主;第二課時主要學(xué)習(xí)Part A中Lets talk部分的對話,理解并會說電話用語,并借助Part B Lets play部分進行語用練習(xí);第三課時以Part B中Lets learn more部分為主,進一步學(xué)習(xí)拓展本單元功能語言;第四課時則是處理本單元Part B的Read and discuss部分,以及Part C的聽力與其他練習(xí)。【單元具體目標(biāo)】知識目標(biāo)一、能聽、說、讀、寫以下詞匯:mobile phone, make a phone call, go on the Internet, send a message, read an e-book, send an e-mail。二、能聽懂、會說、會讀、會用下列句型:1. Did you have a good time during the winter holidays? Did you play with your friends? Did you call each other during the holidays?(2)新課導(dǎo)入 Part A Warming-up: Think and number師生互致問候之后,教師展示出電腦、收音機、電視、手機等圖片,借助Part A Warming-up部分的Think and number活動導(dǎo)入新課。T: Here, I have some pictures. They are very useful in our daily life. Do you know what they are?師生一起用英語說出這些物品,之后讓學(xué)生思考討論。讓他們按這些物品在我們?nèi)粘I钪械闹匾潭纫来闻判虿⒄f音說為什么。T: Which one do you think is the most useful? (重復(fù)幾遍)教學(xué)小貼士教師注意mobile的讀音,要向?qū)W生示范到位。尤其是-ile的發(fā)音??梢耘e出其他學(xué)過的詞,如:smile, mile。并試讀file, while的發(fā)音。2. 教授短語make a phone call教師出示教學(xué)卡片,向?qū)W生介紹:T: You can use the phone to call your friends, or call your parents. This is an important function of phone or mobile phone. Look at this picture. Read it after me. Now, listen to a dialogue。課程展示活動和過程的設(shè)計建議(presentation)(1)新課展示Part A: Lets talk1. 教師提出問題,并播放Lets talk部分對話錄音的前半部分,讓學(xué)生帶著問題感知對話內(nèi)容:What are they doing?Who are speaking?為了讓學(xué)生更直觀地了解對話,教師可在播放錄音之前先用手機播放一段鈴聲。這樣,電話鈴聲一響,學(xué)生們就可以明白這是一段電話錄音。聽完一遍錄音后,教師可選出幾名學(xué)生試著回答上面的兩個問題,看學(xué)生是否弄清楚了打電話雙方分別是Liu Zhaoyang和Cathy。并能答出:They are making a phone call.或They are talking on the phone.2. 教師再次播放此段錄音,幫助學(xué)生理解對話內(nèi)容。(1) 理解電話用語May I speak to .? & This is .T: When you want to speak to someone on the phone, you can ask, “MayI speak to .? ”When you answer a phone in English, you must say “This is .”You cannot say “I am .” on the phone.(教師做出打電話的樣子) For example, “Hello! This is Mr. Zhao. May I speak to Kevin?”板書句型:May I speak to . ?This is .讓學(xué)生兩人一組練習(xí)接通電活的用語:A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?B: Hello, this is B.(2) 理解電話用語Sorry, B is out. Can I take a message? Could you please ask . to call me?T: When someone isnt here near the phone. You can answer the call like this, “Sorry, he / she is out. Can I take a message?”When you want him / her to call you later, you can say, “Could you please ask him / her to call me?”教學(xué)小貼士Could you please . ?用來表示“請求別人做某事”??梢岳斫鉃椤罢埬愫脝??” 語氣比較委婉。對方聽起來會顯得更加客氣,含有尊敬的意味。再讓學(xué)生兩人一組練一練這樣打電話的情景:A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?C: Sorry, B is out. This is C. Can I take a message?A: Could you please ask B to call me?C: OK.(3)板書句子:Ill tell her when she comes back.她回來時我告訴她。sb. will do sth. when .這樣的句子用來表達(dá)“在某時某人會做某事”。該句型只要學(xué)生理解、會用就行,不必介紹太深的語法。這是一個復(fù)合句,when引導(dǎo)的是時間狀語從句,如:Ill do some housework when I go home.The teacher will help us when we have difficulties.3. 教師播放Lets talk部分對話及錄音的后半部分。(1)讓學(xué)生聽錄音,那解電話用語Is that. ? & Who is that?T: On the phone, if you want to know who is speaking to you, you can ask Is that .? or“Who is that? ”. You cant say“Are you . ? ” or “Who are you? ” For example, “Hello! Who is that? Is that . (speaking)?”教師做出打電話的樣子,提到班里誰的名字時就讓該生作出一定反應(yīng)。如:Yes, this is . (speaking)或No, this is .板書句型:Is that.?/ Who is that?教學(xué)小貼士英語的電話用語同中文的有很大的不同,如:May I speak to .? 相當(dāng)于中文的:請找一下X X X?;蛭艺襒 X X。而我是X X X。用英文表達(dá)則是This is.。另外,當(dāng)需要詢問對方是誰時,要這樣問:Who is that?/ Is that .? 回答則是:This is ./ Yes / No, this is .讓學(xué)生兩人一組試若練一練:A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?B: This is B (speaking). Who is that? / Is that.?A: This is . / Yes. This is . (speaking).(2) 教師再次播放該部分錄音,幫助學(xué)生理解對話內(nèi)容,弄清楚對話大概提到了什么事情。如:可以檢查學(xué)生聽完一遍有沒有抓住went shopping, bought me a mobile phone, play games on it等談話信息。進行此環(huán)節(jié)時,教師可提問并讓學(xué)生試著回答問題:who went shopping this morning? Who had a mobile phone? What will Kitty use it to do?教學(xué)小貼士對比兩個結(jié)構(gòu):buy sb. sth. / buy sth. to sb.教師可以告訴學(xué)生:這兩個結(jié)構(gòu)的意思是相同的,只是表達(dá)的方式或說法不同而已。類似的表達(dá)還有我們以前學(xué)習(xí)過的give sb. sth. / give sth. to sb.以及pass sb. sth. / pass sth. to sb.(2)鞏固活動1. 教師播放Lets talk部分的完整錄音,讓學(xué)生各自小聲跟讀并勾畫出打電話時的基本用語。2. 小組活動,分角色進行對話朗讀練習(xí)。3. 小組展示。學(xué)生分角色朗讀、展示對話,其他學(xué)生進行評價。教師給予必要的語音、語調(diào)、語氣等方面的指導(dǎo),以鼓勵表揚為主。操練活動的設(shè)計與實施建議(Practice Activities)(1)Part B Lets playPair work:模仿Alice和Colin電話里的對話,進行創(chuàng)編對話練習(xí)。1. 教師快速展示所準(zhǔn)備的寫有一些表示日常活動的動詞短語的紙條,通過師生問答,盡量多地復(fù)習(xí)一些動詞短語。T: Hi, A! And answer the following questions.(1) Who is he making a phone call?(2) What does he say?教師播放本部分的錄音,讓學(xué)生帶著剛才的問題,認(rèn)真聽對話,了解到底是誰在打電話,他說了什么。通過聽第一遍,學(xué)生可能了解到一些片段信息,但還不能完整把握所有信息。2. 打開課本,翻到P6 Part B Read and discuss,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進行閱讀,教師可以通過對話來了解學(xué)生閱讀后的理解情況:T: Is it a fine day?Ss: Yes.T: Does Tommy go to school?Ss: No.T: Where is he?Ss: In the park.T: Is he making a phone call?Ss: Yes.3. 閱讀小故時學(xué)會進一步明了Tommy是在給誰打電話,并且還在電話里說了謊然。然而,Tommy在電話中漏了馬腳。也許會帶來一些笑聲。接下來,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生思考:What do you think of Tommy?
