It is one of the puppet play civil widely circulated in the folk. When acting ,the artists behind the white curtain.Artists control opera characters, while the local popular tunes sing above story, and at the same time, match with percussion and string, a strong local flavor.In the henan province and shanxi province village ,shadow play is popular. Shadow play is ancient Chinese traditional folk art. The Peking called “l(fā)vpiying”.For thousand years,the art with the first people from generation to generation,they have a good time.Shadow not only belongs to the puppet art, or a real handicraft. Shadow production is very exquisite.By the external environment and hide the differences between the material quality of a material, such as a variety of factors.So the style of shadow play is different. In the dynasty of yuan,shadow play spread to many foreign country. Many foreigner were addicted to this art.They called it “chinese yindeng”Genially. Shadow play in the different area have different style.Now I introduce Hubei shadow play.Hubei shadow play classify into “menshenpu(big shadow play)” and “weipu(small shadow play)”Menshenpu mainly concentrated in the jianghan plain.Weipu mainly distribute in the north and west of hubei province.The style of hubei shadow play is similar to shanyu shadow play. It is the result of the communicate in culture among the three place. Jianghan plain belong to chuhan area.Chu culture is rich,which have prepared for the development of shadow play.Jianghan plain shadow play of singing with song cavity and YuGu cavity.As for song cavity. Jiming cavity heads from,it is the“l(fā)iving fossil”for the chinese traditional music.Yugu cavity from the old artist cover begging,has the strong flavor of rural life. With the development of the modern culture and the old artist have die,Jianghan plain shadow has started to die out.The essence of art need the latter to inheritance. Our country attaches importance to the protect of intangible cultural heritage. In 2006 shadow play was entering the world human non-material cultural heritage list of masterpiece .In 2011,shadow play has achieved the goal in apply for the world human intangible cultural heritage. With the development of the social,Peoples living standards is improving ,appreciation of the beauty is improving,so people reflect the role in the play in more exquisite
