4、to perform in a well-known place or get a recording contract.To become a star is the aim of every singer or musician and the dream of many a pop-crazy teenager.However a group or star makes it to the top,they can be sure that their lives will change once they are successful.Ordinary teenagers living

5、 at home with their parents may suddenly find themselves rich enough to buy their own houses. An established superstar may be able to buy several.Despite the large amounts of money that are earned,life at the top is not easy for many stars.The pop scene is hard work and many stars need to spend a lo

9、ty hours or more without a break for meals or sleep.Some have fallen asleep on sofas and lounge chairs in the computer center,trying to catch a few winks but loathe to get too far away from their beloved machines.Most of these students dont have to be at the computer center in the middle of the nigh

10、t.They arent working on assignments.They are there because they want to be they are irresistibly drawn there.And they are not alone.There are hackers at computer centers all across the country.In their extreme form, they focus on nothing else.They flunk out of school and lose contact with friends;th

11、ey might have difficulty finding jobs,choosing instead to wander from one computer center to another.They may even forgo personal hygiene.“I remember one hacker.We literally had to carry him off his chair to feed him and put him to sleep.We really feared for his health,”says a computer science profe

12、ssor at MIT.Computer science teachers are now more aware of the implications of this hacker phenomenon and are on the lookout for potential hackers and cases of computer addiction that are already severe.They know that the case of the hackers is not just the story of one persons relationship with a

17、sk.Winners are not afraid to do their own thinking and to use their own knowledge.They can separate facts from opinion and dont pretend to have all the answers.They listen to others, evaluate what they say,but come to their own conclusions.Although winners can admire and respect other people,they ar

18、e not totally defined,demolished, bound, or awed by them.Winners do not play “helpless”,nor do they play the blaming game.Instead, they assume responsibility for their own lives.They do not give others a false authority over them.Winners are their own bosses and know it.A winners timing is right.Win

19、ners respond appropriately to the situation.Their responses are related to the message sent and preserve the significance,worth, well-being, and dignity of the people involved.Winners know that for everything there is a season and for every activity a time.Although winners can freely enjoy themselves,they can al
