goondoingsth.意為:連續(xù)做某事。如：Hewentontalkingaboutthefilmaftertheguestleft.客人走后，他連續(xù)談?wù)撃菆鲭娪啊?/p>

留意：這句話的意思是指客人在場時，他也在談?wù)撾娪?。假如用下一種表達(dá)方法，則意思有轉(zhuǎn)變：

Hewentontotalkaboutafilmaftertheguestleft.客人走后，他(轉(zhuǎn)變話題)開頭談?wù)撘粓鲭娪啊?/p>

這個句子的形式是：togoontodosth.

與goondoingsth.意思相近的`有g(shù)oonwithsth.,例如：Pleasegoonwithyourwork.請連續(xù)干你的工作。

3)HebegantocatchupwithJim.他開頭趕上吉姆了。

catchupwith是追逐，趕上的意思。如：

1)Youhavetoworkhardinordertocatchupwiththeothers.你得努力學(xué)習(xí)，趕上別人。

2)YouwalkonandI'llcatchupwithyoulater.你接著走，我一會兒會趕上你的。

這一句也可寫成：YouwalkonandI'llcatchyouuplater.

在朗讀這個短語時，留意將短語中的副詞up讀得稍重一些；而將介詞with讀得稍弱一

些。

4)pass…ontosb.把……傳給某人on是副詞，表示“連續(xù)，接著”，強(qiáng)調(diào)動作發(fā)生的連續(xù)性。pass的賓語是名詞可位于on前或后，pass的賓語是代詞必需位于on前。例如：

I’llreadthestoryafteryou,andthenI'llpassitontoLucy.

Theybothpassedontheirsticks/passedtheirsticksonatthesametime.

Afteryoureadthenote,pleasepassiton.
