《綠野仙蹤》英語(yǔ)讀后感
"TheWizardofOz"isanAmericanclassicthathascaptivatedgenerationsofreaderssinceitspublicationin1900.ThenoveltellsthestoryofayoungfarmgirlnamedDorothyGale,whoissweptawayfromherKansashomebyatornadoandtransportedtoamagicallandcalledOz.Inthisnewworld,shebefriendsacowardlylion,abrainlessscarecrow,andaheartlesstinman,allofwhomshareherdesiretoseekguidancefromtheWizardofOzsotheycanreturnhome.
Asachild,Iwasimmediatelydrawntothebook'svividandimaginativedescriptionsofOzanditsinhabitants.Thecolorfullanguageandintricateworld-buildingmademefeelasthoughIwassteppingintoacompletelydifferentuniverse.EverythingfromtheYellowBrickRoadtotheEmeraldCitywasdescribedinsuchdetailthatIcouldpictureitallinmymind’seye.
Butthetruemagicofthestoryliesinitscharacters.Dorothy,theprotagonist,isaspunkyandresilientyounggirlwhoisdeterminedtofindherwayhome,nomattertheobstaclesinherpath.Thetinman,wholongsforaheart,isasymbolofthepowerofloveandempathy,whilethescarecrowstandsfortheimportanceofintelligenceandeducation.Andthecowardlylion,whomustfindhisownbravery,showstheimportanceoffacingyourfearsandrisingtotheoccasion.
AsIgrewolderandrevisitedthebook,Ibegantoappreciateitsdeepermeaningsandthemes.Icametounderstandthestoryasacommentaryontheimportanceofone'sjourneyinlife,ratherthantheendgoal.IntheirquesttomeettheWizard,Dorothyandher
friendslearnvaluablelessonsaboutthemselves,andthepowertheypossesswithinthemselves.Theyrealizethattheyhadtheabilitytogetbackhomeallalongandthatthepeopletheymetduringtheirtravelswereinstrumentalinhelpingthemalongtheway.
