1.Analysisoftheteachingmaterial
First,letstalkabouttheanalysisoftheteachingmaterial.ThislessonischosenfromthefirstbookofPEPEnglish,Grade8,Unit2.Itisalisteningandspeakinglesson.Afterthislesson,studentswillknowhowtoe*presshowoftentheydosomethingandtheirfavoriteactivity.Whatsmore,theirconfidenceandspeakingabilitywillbeimproved.
2.Analysisofthestudents
Then,itcomestotheanalysisofstudents.TheyareinGrade8andhavelearnedEnglishforseveralyears,thereforetheyhavesomebasicknowledgeaboutthesentencepattern.However,theirspeakingEnglisharenotsowell.SoteachersshouldcreatechancesforthemtopracticetheiroralEnglishasmuchaspossible.

Studentscanimprovetheirspeakingabilitybypairworkandroleplay.
Emotionalaims:
Studentswillknowhowtoe*presshowtoe*presshowoftentheydosomethingandtheirfavoriteactivity.
4.Analysisofthekeyanddifficultpoints
Thenletmetalkaboutthekeydifficultpoints:studentscanproperlyusethesentencepattern"Howoftendoyou?'and"Whatsyourfavorite?'andthephrasessuchastwiceaweek,gotothemovies,etc.
5.Analysisofteachingmethodsandteachingaids
Asfortheteachingmethodsandteachingaids,Iwillmainlyusecommunicativelanguageteachingmethodandtask-basedteachingmethod,aswellaspicturesandmultimedia.
6.Analysisoftheteachingprocedures

Step1:warm-up.
Inthispart,Iwillfirstsayhellotoeveryoneandthenshowsomepictures,askthemquestions,'Canyoudescribewhatishappeninginthepicture?'andleadinthetopicoftodayslessonHowoftendoyoue*ercise?
Picturesareusefultoolsforattractingstudentsattentionanddescribingthenewwordsandphrases.Byusingpicturesandaskingquestions,Icaneasilyattractstudentsattentionandleadinthetopicofthislesson.
Step2:pre-listening.
Inthispart,studentswilllearnsomenewphrases:readEnglishbooks,usetheInternet,gotothemovies.
Byshowingpicturesandusingthesentencepattern"Howoftendoyou'withthesenewphrases,studentscanmasterthepronunciationandmeaningofthesenewphrases,aswellasthesentencepattern,thuscreateabetterfoundationforthene*tstepwhile-listening.
Step3:while-listening.
Inthispart,studentswilllistentothetapeforthreetimesaltogether.Forthefirsttime,itse*tensive-listening.Studentswillanswerthequestion:Howoftendoyoue*ercise?Bydoingso,theycanmasterthegeneraltopicofthiste*t.Then,itcomestotheintensive-listening:afterthesecondtime,theywilldoamatche*ercise.Bydoingso,theirlogicalabilitycanbestrengthened.Andforthethirdtime,theywillbeaskedtofillinthechart.Bydoingso,theycanbemorefamiliarwiththenewwordsandphrases.
Aftertheseactivities,studentslisteningabilityandtheirlogicalthinkingabilitywillbeimproved.
Step4:post-listening.
Inthispart,studentswilldosomepairworkandroleplaytostrengthentheirunderstandingofthislisteningmaterialandtheiroralEnglish.
Step5:summaryandhomework.
Inthispart,Iwillaskastudenttohelpussummarizewhatwehavelearnedtodaysothatstudentscangraspthemaintargetofthislesson.ThenIwillleavethematasktodeepenwhatwehavelearnedtodaybymakinganewconversationwiththesentencepatterninthislisteningmaterial.Bydoingso,studentscanmastertheusageofthesentencepattern.
