(1)辨析：besides與except

①besides意為“除……之外（還）”，后面的內(nèi)容包含在整體之內(nèi)。

②except意為“除了……”，強(qiáng)調(diào)從整體中除去一部分。

(2)twice副詞，意為“兩次”。在英語(yǔ)中，一次為once，兩次為twice,三次或三次以上用“基數(shù)詞+times”表示。

3.Ontopof

allthat,Ihaveclassesindance,piano,art...除此之外，我還要上舞蹈課、鋼琴課、美術(shù)課……。

ontopof此處意為“除……之外；更重要的是”。

除貧窮外，他還患有心臟病。

(1)on(the)topof意為“在……的頂端”，相當(dāng)于atthetopof。Thevillagersoncelivedonthetopofthemountain.

這些村民曾經(jīng)住在山頂上。

(2)ontopof意為“在……上面”。

such形容詞，意為“如此”，修飾名詞。具體有以下幾種情況：

(1)such+a/an+單數(shù)名詞

suchaboy這樣的一個(gè)男孩

(2)such+an/an+形容詞+單數(shù)名詞

suchatallbuilding如此高的一座建筑

(3)such+形容詞+復(fù)數(shù)名詞/不可數(shù)名詞

suchkindchildren如此善良的孩子們

[注意]

so副詞，意為“如此”，修飾形容詞或副詞。

(1)單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞前有形容詞修飾時(shí)，such放在a/an之前，而so放在a/an之后。

suchatallbuilding＝sotallabuilding如此高的一座樓

(2)名詞前有many,few,much,little（少）等表示數(shù)量的詞修飾時(shí)，用so而不用such。

(3)pay的用法：

Sb.pays(somemoney)forsth.某人付（多少錢(qián)）買(mǎi)某物。Howmuchdidyoupayforthecar?

你買(mǎi)這輛汽車(chē)支付了多少錢(qián)？

(4)cost的用法：

cost的主語(yǔ)通常是物或所做的事情。
