（四）語法知識：形容詞的比較級和最高級

1.構成規(guī)則

一般在詞尾加-er或-est，如：tall-taller-tallest，short-shorter-shortest。

以字母e結尾的形容詞，加-r或-st，如：nice-nicer-nicest，large-larger-largest。

重讀閉音節(jié)詞詞尾只有一個輔音字母時，先雙寫這個輔音字母，再加-er或-est，如：big-bigger-biggest，hot-hotter-hottest。

以“輔音字母+y”結尾的雙音節(jié)詞，先把y改為i，再加-er或-est，如：easy-easier-easiest，happy-happier-happiest。

多音節(jié)詞和部分雙音節(jié)詞在前面加more或most，如：beautiful-morebeautiful-mostbeautiful，interesting-moreinteresting-mostinteresting。

2.用法

最高級：用于三者或三者以上的比較，前面一般要加定冠詞the，常與表示范圍的in/of短語連用。如：Heisthetallestinourclass.（他是我們班最高的。）；Thisisthemostexpensiveofthethreecars.（這是三輛車中最貴的。）
