1、W H A T T H E N E X T O N E? 荷蘭next建筑事務(wù)所作品解析,URBAN PLANNING MUSEUM, Chaoyang Park project | museum area | 17,000 m2 location | Beijing design | 2009 status | realized 2009 co-architect | huanyang architects The urban planning exhibition museum has been realized in just nine months from competition t

2、o opening. The museum is located in three old factories in Chaoyang Park. The design exploits exploits the relation between old and new, history and future. The 17,000m2 museum accommodates a range of exhibitions about the urban development of Chaoyang District, Beijings CBD, the art district 798 an

3、d the Olympic Green. 4、EOs room, reveals the characteristic map of Beijing. The map changes over time, as ceiling lights are added, where new projects are realized. Its appearance loosely refers to the design of classical Chinese windows and ceilings.,HANGZHOU XIASHA project | planning area | 1,100,000 m2 location | Hangz

5、hou Xiasha design | 2011 status | under development co-architect | Quanjing Architects Together with Quanjing Architecture Ltd., NEXT won the international competition for Xiasha, a satellite city of Hangzhou. The competition involved an area of more than one million square meters. The planning stra

6、tegy involved a reversal of typical Chinese city planning, in which residential areas typically are divided from public areas by a thin strip of commercial program. In this proposal all commercial program is concentrated in a diagonal that connects two important squares and adds three smaller square

7、s in the diagonal itself. In stead of infrastructure connecting (commercial) program, in this proposal, (commercial) program is the infrastructure that connects urban spaces.,XIDAN MALL project | retail-mixed use area | 120,000m2 location | Xidan, Beijing design | 2005 status | under construction co

8、-architect | huanyang architects This Mall is located in one of the major commercial streets in Beijing; Xidan. The building accommodates 120,000m2 shopping, dining, entertainment, office and parking. The design aims to break with typical shopping malls, which are often closed boxed buildings. As su

9、ch, the proposal can be understood as a giant glass box, partly draped by a curtain. There where the box is unveiled, specific program like sky-lobbies, panorama-offices and LED elevations become visible. The idea of a curtain draping a glass box is enforced by smooth shapes and soft corners. To air

10、-up the huge building mass, several public voids are proposed: a ground floor plaza, a stadium-like atrium and double high sky lobbies on all corners. Circulation is organized in three independent roundabouts and is therefore never dead-ending. The roundabouts intersect at the public voids and at th

11、e newly to be built underground subway station.,G6 TWIST project | office - residential area | 60,000m2 location | Tongzhou, Beijing design | 2007 status | realized 2009 co-architect | huanyang architects G6 twist is a twin-building located near Beijing East 5th ring road. The building will contain

12、mostly service apartments. These apartments can accommodate start-up companies, which makes that the building blends between apartment and office building. The design-strategy follows three steps: projecting a typical EW orientated Beijing slab, rotating and finally twisting the slab in order to opt

13、imize daylight and view. The twisted slab is taken as a starting point to manipulate the buildings massing proportions, following the analogy that people prefer to live in a tower over living in a slab. Towards the new city street, the building will follow a smaller scale to enclose a square. Toward

14、s the South side of the site, the buildings will take on a more urban scale. 15、-architect | huanyang architects The new Beijing Tobacco headquarters will accommodate a wide range of different functions and departments. The client wished as much program as possible to face South; at the same time he wished the building to be as high as possible. These requirements resulted in a

16、 rectangular building envelop of 60 x 60 x 26 meter. In order to increase the diversity of floors, spaces and relationships between program, the envelop is horizontally sliced three times. This slicing creates a building with a solid foundation, middle part and roof, loosely referring to traditional

17、 Chinese palace architecture. The middle part is then sliced vertically four times. The middle part follow a series of manipulations in order to guarantee daylight entrance on all floors, to emphasize the main entrance and to create sky terraces.,M13 IT PARK project | office area | 58,000m2 location
