1、Unit 3 What would you like?Good morning, respected judges! I am No.1 candidate, applying for English teacher of primary school. Its my pleasure to stand here and show my teaching plan with all of you! My topic is “What would you like?” Today Im going to describe my thoughts in the following 6 aspect

2、s: analysis of teaching material, analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design. Firstly, I will analyze teaching material. This lesson comes from Part B, Read and Write, Unit 3, PEP Primary English, Book 5. The topic of this unit is about how to

3、 express somebodys favourite food. In this lesson.It mainly deals with two notes from Yifan and Grandpa to Robin to talk about their favorite food.This topic is closely related to students daily life, therefore,on studying the teaching material, I put forward the teaching aims according to English n

4、ew lesson standard. Firstly, knowledge and skill aims: The students can listen, read, spell and write the sentences: My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not and the Ss can use the sentences to express their favourite food. Secondly, process and method aims: The Ss can understand

5、 the letter and get some information; Ss can master the format of note.Thirdly, emotional and attitude aims: Cultivate Sss ability of cooperation and broaden their horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Based on analysis of teaching material, the key points of this lesson are to help stude

6、nts understand the notes and Ss can listen, read and write the sentences of My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not to express their favourite food. The difficult point is to help the students use this sentences to communicate in their daily life and master the format of note. A

7、s we all know, the aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Make sure the students take part in class. Ask and answer in pairs and groups. Ill use task-based method, communicative method,

8、 group cooperate method, TPR method, performance and games methods to teach this lesson. I will let the Ss learn in real situations. In order to interest the Ss, Ill use some pictures, words and sentence cards, and the multimedia computer as my teaching aids and to help me to achieve the aims. Then

9、we come to the most important part-teaching procedures, which will be demonstrated in the following steps: Step 1Lead-in Before my class,Ill let the Ss act and chant like this: I like chicken, chicken, chicken.I like fish, fish, fish.I like sandwich, sandwich, sandwich. I like icecream, icecream,ice

10、cream.Then Ill talk with the Ss about their favorite food, and students should answer by using the sentences of “My favourite food is Its.” Ill divide the Ss into two groups: G1 and G2 .If G1 is better.They will get morefood.If G2 is better .they will get more food. Design purpose: Students can revi

11、ew the names of food and the sentences to express their favorite food through chant and free talk. Step2. Pre-reading I will show some pictures on PPT, and let the Ss guess:who are they? What are they doing?. Students will be given several minutes to discuss the answer with their partners, and then

12、Ill lead in Yifan, grandpa and Robin. Robin is a robot, he doesnt eat food, but he will cook for us, so Yifan and grandpa write a note to Robin to tell their favourite food. Design purpose: Play a guessing game could arouse the curiosity of the students and stimulate their interests to read the pass

13、age to get more information.Step3. While-readingActivity1: Listen to the tape, and tell us what are the notes mainly talk about?Activiy2: Let Ss read silently and answer the following questions:Whats Wu Yifans favourite food? Why?Whats Wu Yifans favourite vegetable?WhatsGrandpas favourite food? Why?

14、Ill check the answers and show these answers in text.So the Ss can clearly understand that where are the answers from? Activity 3:I will pick out the key sentences “I like vegetables but not carrots.” “I dont like beef but chichen is Ok.”I will give them some examples and explain the usage of these

15、sentences that we can use these sentence patterns to express our favorite food. After that, I will lead the Ss to use these sentences to express their favorite and unfavorite foods.Design purpose: Help the students to get information step by step, and help them to master the usage of key sentences t

16、hrough practice.Step4. Post-reading Task 1: Ss read the notes after the tape. Then boys read as Wu Yifan and girls read as Grandpa, and I will be Robin.Guide the Ss to act the dialogue by using the sentences My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not.Task 2: Students can discuss in

17、 groups to help Bobin about what would he cook, and then write a menu for Robin.Design purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop students ability of communication and lead the students learning by doing.Step5. Summary Ss make a summary on what they have learned this class, and I wi

18、ll make supplement that we have known how to express our favourite food and whats more, we should broaden our horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Design purpose: Check the Ss weak points and what they have learned this class. Teacher make supplements based on the students summary, and arouse the students awareness of broaden our horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Step6. Homework Write a note to your friends to tell
