初中英語專題教案狀語從句(二)、專題詳解(五)目的狀語從句目的狀語從句,主要用來補充說明主句中謂語動詞發(fā)生的目的。常用來連接目的狀語從句的連接詞及其短語主要有:sothat/inorderthat/forfearthat/lest/incase.女口:Hegotupearlysoastocatchthefirstmorningbus.Soastocatchthefirstmorningbus,是用來補充說明gotupearly的目的狀語。Hegotupearlysothathecouldcatchthefirstmorningbus.Hecouldcatchthefirstmorningbus,是用來補充說明gotupearly的目的狀語從句引導詞用法示例sothat意為“以至,以便”。目的狀語的謂語常含有may,might,can,could,should,would等情態(tài)動詞。Trytospeakloudenoughsothatpeoplecanhearyouclearly.Mr.Greenspeaksveryloudlysothatallthepeoplecanhearhimclearly.inorderthat意為“為了”,相當于sothat.inorderto后面可以跟動詞原形構成目的狀語,不是目的狀語從句。Weshallletyouknowthedetailssooninorderthatyoucan/maymakeaarrangements.其他用法:sothat表示“為了;以便”。如:Weturnedonthelightsothatwemightseewhatitwas.(我們把燈打開,以便看看它是什么。)Theyputascreenaroundhisbedsothatthedoctorcouldexaminehim.(他們在他床的四周放上屏風,以便醫(yī)生給他檢查。)【注意】(1)sothat有時可以省略so,直接用that連接。如:Bringitcloser(so)thatImayseeitbetter.(把它拿近點兒,讓我看看仔細。)(2)當主從句的主語一致時,sothat引導的狀語從句可以改為短語結構soastodo。如:從句:Wemadeastrategicwithdrawal,sothatwecouldbuildupourforcesforarenewedattack.(我們作了一次戰(zhàn)略性退卻,以便我們能積蓄力量再次進攻。)短語:Wemadeastrategicwithdrawal,soastobuildupourforcesforarenewedattack.(六)結果狀語從句結果狀語從句是英語學科中的一個句型。從句常由so...that或such...that引導。引導詞用法示例so…that意為“如此…以至于…”。so+adj./adv.原級+that,so是副詞,只能修飾形容詞和副詞。so還可與表示數(shù)量的形容詞many,few,much,little(這四個形容詞表示多或少時璉用,形成固定搭配。ThisyearithasrainedsoheavilyinSouthChinathatlotsofproblemsarecaused.Theiceonthelakewassothinthatpeoplecouldn'tskateonit.such..that意為“如此…以至于…"。有二種結構:such+a(an)+adj.+單數(shù)不可數(shù)名詞+that;such(+adj.)+不可數(shù)名詞+that;such(+adj.)+復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+that,such是形容詞,修飾名詞或名詞詞組。有時可與so…that句型轉換。It'ssuchawonderfulsongthatwealllikeit.Simonissuchdishonestpersonthatnoonebelieveshim.Theboyissoyoungthathecan'tgotoschool.=Heissuchayoungboythathecan'tgotoschool.其他用法:1.sothat可以引導目的狀語從句,也可以引導結果狀語從句。例如:Heworriedsothathecouldn'tsleep他急得睡不著。(sothat引導結果狀語從句)Itwasverycold,sothattheriverfroze.天氣寒冷,河水都結冰了。(sothat引導結果狀語從句)IcametotheclassearlysothatIcouldseetheclassmatebesideme.我趕早來上課,以便早點看到我旁邊的同學。(sothat引導目的狀語從句)2?表示“如此以致“的“so???that???”和“such???that.??”均可引導結果狀語從句,其中的such是形容詞,修飾名詞,suchafool;so是副詞,修飾形容詞或副詞sofoolish,具體的搭配形式是:“so+adj./adv.+that",“so+adj.(+a/an)+n.+that";“such(+a/an)(+adj.)+n.+that"。例如:Hespeakssofastthatnoonecancatchhim.他說話太快,無人聽得明白。TheshopsellssuchexpensivegoodsthatIwanttobuynothinginit這家商店出售的貨物價格昂貴,以致我在里面不想購買任何東西。讓步狀語從句讓步狀語從句,是指狀語從句中的一種,其本身也是狀語從句。一般翻譯為“盡管……或“即使……”,就是我們日常生活中用的“退一步說…”的感覺。引導讓步狀語從句的連詞主要有以下這些:though,although,while,as;evenifeventhough;whether...or...;nomatter+疑問詞,疑問詞-ever,regardlessof+名詞/名詞短語/名詞從句,despite,inspiteof。切記although,though不可與but連用,但可以與still和yet連用。引導詞用法示例though意為“雖然”。不能和but連用。但是可以同yet(still)連用,構成though…yet(still).though較普遍,常用于非正式的口語和書面語中。even能和though組合表示強調,在這里eventhough=evenif(nomatterif;though即使…也…)。Soithasliveduptonowthoughitisn'tstrongatall.Thoughtheyaretwinbrothers,theydon'tlooklikeeachother.although意為“雖然”。不能和but連用。但是可以同yet(still)連用,構成although…yet(still).although較為正式,語氣比though重,常用以強調讓步概念。even不能和although組合。Althoughhediedseveralyearsago,Icanstillrememberthedayswespenttogetherandwhathehastaughtmeaboutlove.其他用法:though,although表示“雖然,縱然”之意。這兩個連詞意思大致相同,在一般情況下可以互換使用。在口語中,though較常使用,although比though正式,二者都可與yet,still或nevertheless連用,但不能與but連用。例如:IwillremainfirmthoughImustlowermyphysicalsights盡管我得降低體育(鍛煉)的目標,但我的意志是堅強的。典型例題1)sheisyoung,sheknowsquitealot.A.WhenB.HoweverC.AlthoughD.Unless答案:C。意為雖然她很年輕,卻知道許多。⑵as(though)表示“雖然…但是”,“縱使…”之意。as引導的讓步狀語從句必須以部分倒裝的形式出現(xiàn),被倒裝的部分可以是表語、狀語或動詞原形,though也可用于這樣的結構中,但although不可以這樣用。例如:Objectas/thoughyoumay,I'llgo.(=Though/Althoughyoumayobject,I'llgo.縱使你反對,我也要去。whether由這一個復合連詞引導的讓步狀語從句旨在說明正反兩方面的可能性都不會影響主句的意向或結果,所以它的語氣是比較強烈的,從而也更加堅定了主句的內容。例如:You'llhavetoattendtheceremonywhetheryou'refreeorbusy不管你忙不忙,都要參加這個典禮。區(qū)分:(1)evenif與eventhough的區(qū)別兩者均可用于引導讓步狀語從句,其細微區(qū)別是:evenif引導的從句是往往是假設性的,相當于漢語的“即使”“縱然”“就算”“哪怕”。如:They'llstandbyyouevenifyoudon'tsucceed.即使你不成功,他們也會支持你。eventhough弓I導的從句內容往往是真實的,主要用于引出不利于主句情況的信息,相當于漢語的“盡管”“雖然''。如:Hewentouteventhoughitwasraining.盡管在下雨,他還是出去了。nomatterwhat(who,which,when,etc.)與whatever(whoever,whichever,whenever,etc.)的區(qū)別:當引導引導讓步狀語從句時,兩者相同,可以互換(what=thething,whatever=anyting),但當弓I導名詞性從句(主語從句,賓語從句,表語從句和同位語從句)時則只能用whatever(whoever,whichever,whenever,etc)。如上面最后兩個例句可改為:Howeverpurethewaterlooks,Idonotwanttodrinkit.as引導讓步狀語從句的用法引導讓步狀語從句時,as意為“雖然,盡管”,通常從句要倒裝,倒裝的方法是將從句的表語或狀語放在as之前,而用though引導讓步狀語從句時句字則不必倒裝(口語中也可倒裝)。e.g.Heavilyasitwasrainingoutside,theystartedoutveryearly.Youngasheis,heknowsalot=Thoughheisyoung或Youngthoughheis,he他雖然年輕,但懂得很多。(though也有這種用法,可以替換as,但although沒有這種用法)注意,名詞提句首時,不加冠詞:e.g:teacherasheis,helikesChineseverymuch(teacher前不力口a或the)。though還可以用作副詞,放在句末。如:Itwasahardjob,Ienjoyedit,though=Itwasahardjob,butIenjoyedit.那工作很苦,但是我喜歡干。however用作副詞,不可連接句子。但可置于第二句的句首、句末或句中。要特別注意標點的使用。eg:Aliceisagoodstudent.However,shehasoneshortcoming.愛麗絲是—很好的學生,但她仍有缺點。二、課堂檢測目的狀從:Heleftin___ahurry___heforgottolockthedoor.A.such,thatB.so,thatC.such,asD.so,whenYoumustimproveyourstudymethodyoumaymakeprogressinyourstudies.A.soastoB.inordertoC.soD.inorderthatThePrimeMinistergottotheplatformandsatd
