綜合英語(yǔ)課程簡(jiǎn)介

綜合英語(yǔ)教程是為我國(guó)師范英語(yǔ)教育專業(yè)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì)的綜合性語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練課程,分基礎(chǔ)和高

級(jí)階段。本課程為學(xué)生的兩個(gè)階段提供聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫和研究的全方位的語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練,是我國(guó)外語(yǔ)教

學(xué)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)教育的實(shí)驗(yàn)性課程。

本課程的建設(shè)起始于1994年,由當(dāng)時(shí)國(guó)家教委高教司外語(yǔ)處發(fā)起,并于1995年立項(xiàng)為

“九五”國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)教材建設(shè)項(xiàng)目。后又相繼延伸至2(X)1年立項(xiàng)為“面向二十一世紀(jì)的外

語(yǔ)教材”,并于2002年立項(xiàng)為“教育部十五規(guī)劃教材建設(shè)項(xiàng)目”。

綜合英語(yǔ)教程共有以下一系列教材和教學(xué)資料組成:

《綜合英語(yǔ)教程》學(xué)生用書1-6冊(cè)(1-4冊(cè)為基礎(chǔ)階段教材,5-6冊(cè)為高年級(jí)教材)

《綜合英語(yǔ)教程》教師用書1-6冊(cè)

《綜合英語(yǔ)教程》電子教案

課程啟動(dòng)從95年開(kāi)始,通過(guò)全國(guó)十多所師范院校的參與與合作,該課程目前已完成下

列工作:

!成功的建立了以學(xué)生為中心以教師為主導(dǎo),以交際能力為培養(yǎng)核心的教學(xué)模式。該模

式簡(jiǎn)稱"TELOS”(分別表示TargetLanguageInput,Engagement,Learner'sChoices,

ComprehensibleOutput,SelectiveNegativeInput)〇課程建設(shè)小組已經(jīng)在全國(guó)各地作了十多次

的演講和示范課演示,共計(jì)培訓(xùn)師范院校教師約七百多名。

2出版了《綜合英語(yǔ)教程》1-4冊(cè)(第二版),學(xué)生用書,教師用書和練習(xí)手冊(cè),錄音

磁帶。該教材目前已經(jīng)被全國(guó)一百多所院校使用,發(fā)行量達(dá)120萬(wàn)冊(cè),是目前我國(guó)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)

中發(fā)行量最大影響較廣的教材,受到各地教師的歡迎。自出版以來(lái),不斷有各地的老師撰寫

研究報(bào)告,給與了這套教材充分的肯定。

3開(kāi)發(fā)了網(wǎng)絡(luò)課程和電子教案。

4編寫組在2002-2004年時(shí)TELOS教學(xué)體系重新進(jìn)行教學(xué)法驗(yàn)證,并專門找薄弱學(xué)校

的學(xué)生進(jìn)行教學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn),并根據(jù)試驗(yàn)結(jié)果重新編寫教學(xué)法指導(dǎo),出版了第二版教學(xué)用書,設(shè)計(jì)

了近100多張worksheets,并制作成光盤。以方便偏遠(yuǎn)的和薄弱學(xué)校的教師。

5發(fā)表了一些與本課程建設(shè)有關(guān)的論文。

教界介紹

本項(xiàng)冃成員年齡,職稱和學(xué)歷結(jié)構(gòu)合理。所有的教師都有碩士學(xué)位,其中一位正在攻讀博士學(xué)位。六

位教師具有長(zhǎng)期在英、美、澳、新西蘭、荷蘭、新加坡等國(guó)家生活、學(xué)習(xí)和工作的經(jīng)歷,最短的半年,最

長(zhǎng)的四年,因而英語(yǔ)嫻熟地道,具有很強(qiáng)的學(xué)術(shù)、研究和教學(xué)能力,是目前華東師大英語(yǔ)系的主力教師。

項(xiàng)目組中有三位從96年起就參與《綜合英語(yǔ)》教材的開(kāi)發(fā)和建設(shè),在課程建設(shè)方面已有豐富的實(shí)踐經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

其中有兩位教師一直從事研究性的“教學(xué)法驗(yàn)證”性課程。例如,張逸副教授與鄒為誠(chéng)ー起在四年級(jí)試驗(yàn)

“文化場(chǎng)景分析”在綜合英語(yǔ)高年級(jí)課程中的應(yīng)用,李宏鴻老師進(jìn)行“開(kāi)放式文學(xué)作品學(xué)習(xí)模式”在綜合

英語(yǔ)課程中應(yīng)用的試驗(yàn)。其它教師目前正在進(jìn)ー步完善和試驗(yàn)綜合英語(yǔ)教程的TELOS模式。

ー、教學(xué)模式

教師在使用本書前應(yīng)全面地理解本教程所運(yùn)用的教學(xué)原理和教學(xué)技巧。本教程所采用的基

本教學(xué)模式如下:

該模式中各個(gè)部分的含義和課堂實(shí)施建議如下:

1.英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言輸入(TargetLanguageInput)

語(yǔ)言輸入可以通過(guò)如下途徑實(shí)現(xiàn):學(xué)生用書上所提供的書面材料;教師用書中提供的活

動(dòng)任務(wù)(Worksheets);教師用書中建議教師補(bǔ)充的材料;教師用書中建議對(duì)學(xué)生活動(dòng)

進(jìn)行引導(dǎo)的口頭交流(Introductoryremarksbyteachers);教師用書中建議教師展示的內(nèi)

(Teacher'swrittenor/andoraldemonstration):教師用書中建議教師對(duì)學(xué)生活動(dòng)作出的具體

評(píng)價(jià)(Teacher'scommentsonstudent'sperformanceinbothcontentandlanguage)!教師用書

中要求學(xué)生之間開(kāi)展的討論和展示;教師用書中要求學(xué)生進(jìn)行的課外作業(yè),如檢索互聯(lián)網(wǎng),

利用圖書資料等等活動(dòng)。教師提供的語(yǔ)言輸入在內(nèi)容和形式上應(yīng)該具有針對(duì)性和具體化,

切忌泛泛而論。

2.組織教學(xué)活動(dòng)(Engagement)

教學(xué)活動(dòng)可以釆用如下形式:學(xué)生根據(jù)教學(xué)指令完成書上所規(guī)定的任務(wù);教師進(jìn)行講

解活動(dòng);學(xué)生一對(duì)ー對(duì)地討論和活動(dòng);學(xué)生以小組為單位討論和活動(dòng);一人對(duì)全班或小組

之間開(kāi)展活動(dòng);小組對(duì)小組之間開(kāi)展活動(dòng);如果有平行班,可以進(jìn)行班級(jí)對(duì)班級(jí)之間的交

流活動(dòng);教師與學(xué)生之間討論和活動(dòng)。活動(dòng)的組合應(yīng)該經(jīng)常變動(dòng),鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生盡可能地?cái)U(kuò)大

接觸其他學(xué)生的機(jī)會(huì)。一年級(jí)第一學(xué)期可以直接釆用學(xué)生用書上規(guī)定的活動(dòng),第二學(xué)期開(kāi)

始大量增加任務(wù)型活動(dòng),采用教師用書上建議的“任務(wù)書''(Worksheets),提高學(xué)生在語(yǔ)言活

動(dòng)中的投入深度(Depthofengagement)。如果學(xué)生基礎(chǔ)較好,建議從第一冊(cè)開(kāi)始大量使用

教師用書中提供的“任務(wù)書'',以確保各種水平和語(yǔ)言發(fā)展層次上的學(xué)生都有語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)和語(yǔ)

言實(shí)踐的機(jī)會(huì)。教學(xué)活動(dòng)(Engagement)的成敗取決于如下因素:是否幫助學(xué)生明確任務(wù)

目的和要求;是否對(duì)任務(wù)的難度進(jìn)行了調(diào)整;是否給學(xué)生提供了“范例''(Demonstration);在

任務(wù)過(guò)程中是否給學(xué)生提供了及時(shí)的支持(如解釋語(yǔ)言、提供語(yǔ)言形式、澄清思路等)。

3.學(xué)生尋找和選擇語(yǔ)言形式(Learner'schoieeoflanguageforms)

教師在教學(xué)中要?jiǎng)?chuàng)造條件讓學(xué)生從各種途徑尋找到他們用來(lái)完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)(tasks)的語(yǔ)

言形式。學(xué)生一般從如下途徑尋找:學(xué)生用書上提供的材料,如對(duì)話練習(xí)中的替換詞語(yǔ)和

句子;表達(dá)某個(gè)功能的各種句子形式;課文引導(dǎo)和閱讀材料;學(xué)生用書上提供的文化學(xué)習(xí)

材料和成語(yǔ)習(xí)語(yǔ)材料;擴(kuò)充部分的詞語(yǔ)和寫作材料;教師用書提供的“任務(wù)書''(Worksheets);

教師用書上建議的補(bǔ)充材料;教師在黑板上列出的語(yǔ)言;學(xué)生之間交流時(shí)記錄下來(lái)的語(yǔ)言。

如果是課外作業(yè)或活動(dòng),學(xué)生還從其他書籍、網(wǎng)絡(luò)、詞典、聽(tīng)カ磁帶、電影電視錄像等語(yǔ)

言中獲得他們用來(lái)完成任務(wù)的語(yǔ)言。學(xué)生能否找到語(yǔ)言取決于如下因素:活動(dòng)環(huán)境是否具

備針對(duì)活動(dòng)目的的語(yǔ)言材料、活動(dòng)環(huán)境是否有助于學(xué)生將眼前的任務(wù)與以往的語(yǔ)言活動(dòng)或

語(yǔ)言形式建立聯(lián)系;學(xué)生對(duì)目標(biāo)語(yǔ)形式的需要程度三者之間關(guān)系的密切程度。

4.學(xué)生可理解性輸出(Comprehensibleoutput)

學(xué)習(xí)者的輸出體現(xiàn)在自己編造對(duì)話、編故事、準(zhǔn)備討論、發(fā)言、回答問(wèn)題、辯論和寫作等

方面,輸出活動(dòng)的重點(diǎn)是輸出前的準(zhǔn)備工作。一年級(jí)第一學(xué)期的輸岀活動(dòng)建議利用對(duì)話中

提供的替換詞語(yǔ)、句型或內(nèi)容提示,根據(jù)課文提示進(jìn)行口語(yǔ)練習(xí)時(shí),學(xué)生應(yīng)該眼睛看著聽(tīng)

話者,只有在想不起詞語(yǔ)或內(nèi)容時(shí)可以看書上或黑板上的語(yǔ)言提示。水平較高的學(xué)生建議

用教師用書提供的“任務(wù)書''(Worksheets)為準(zhǔn)備材料。從第二學(xué)期開(kāi)始,輸出前的準(zhǔn)備工作

要以寫作為基礎(chǔ),盡量在書面準(zhǔn)備的基礎(chǔ)上作口頭發(fā)言,“說(shuō)前寫''(Draftingbeforespeaking)

可以有效地防止學(xué)生釆用"回避策略’‘(Avoidancestrategies),解決部分學(xué)生長(zhǎng)期依賴低質(zhì)

量的口水話而造成語(yǔ)言發(fā)展停滯不前的問(wèn)題。輸出的形式要多樣化,多樣化體現(xiàn)在話語(yǔ)的

長(zhǎng)度、復(fù)雜度和文體風(fēng)格上。輸出的質(zhì)量要符合如下標(biāo)準(zhǔn):輸出內(nèi)容滿足交流思想的要求,

輸出量滿足交際效率的要求,輸出的方式要滿足形式和內(nèi)容統(tǒng)ー的要求。

5.選擇性負(fù)面輸入(Selectivenegativeinput)

負(fù)面輸入是否能獲得良好的效果要取決于如下的因素:符合“即時(shí)即地(Hereandnow

principle)原則”,所以最好的機(jī)會(huì)是在學(xué)生發(fā)言、寫作剛剛結(jié)束時(shí);學(xué)生的注意力被教師

吸引住時(shí);教師對(duì)語(yǔ)言錯(cuò)誤的判斷十分準(zhǔn)確;每次只涉及學(xué)生承受范圍之內(nèi)的錯(cuò)誤個(gè)數(shù)。

輸入的方法有:教師用正確的形式復(fù)述學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言(Recasting),通過(guò)“澄

清”(Clarification)的方式吸引學(xué)生在交流過(guò)程中注意教師的正確語(yǔ)言形式;教師通過(guò)口

頭和板書兩種方法吸引學(xué)生的注意力;教師通過(guò)“展示”(Demonstration)給全班學(xué)生提供

正確的語(yǔ)言形式。負(fù)面輸入的機(jī)會(huì)主要存在于“師生互動(dòng)”(Teacher-learnerinteraction)之

中。在確定負(fù)面輸入內(nèi)容時(shí),教師應(yīng)用筆記的方式記錄學(xué)生語(yǔ)言輸出中的質(zhì)量問(wèn)題,然

后根據(jù)筆記向?qū)W生提供糾錯(cuò)信息。

二、課堂教學(xué)管理

1.建議在教學(xué)中,教師要把課堂中出現(xiàn)的重點(diǎn)句型和詞匯作一個(gè)筆記,在下課前2—3

分鐘時(shí)作一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)要的回顧??梢杂弥形摹⒌膭?lì)老師用英語(yǔ)完成這個(gè)總結(jié)任務(wù)。

2.每ー單元結(jié)束時(shí),將教學(xué)所涉及的詞匯、詞組、句型、慣用法、成語(yǔ)、俗語(yǔ)作一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)

單的回顧,可以采用問(wèn)答的方式提醒學(xué)生注意這些語(yǔ)言形式。

3.在使用“任務(wù)書”時(shí),建議教師在備課時(shí)先嘗試一遍,以發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生可能會(huì)遇到的困難;

建議用多種方式評(píng)價(jià)學(xué)生(如參與積極性、數(shù)量、書寫的美觀度、任務(wù)所涉及的內(nèi)容

和語(yǔ)言兩方面的深度和寬度、參考數(shù)目、提供注釋和互助合作等因素)。

4.在使用“任務(wù)書”的過(guò)程中,防止學(xué)生分工不均的做法,例如總是某一學(xué)生寫,總是某

一學(xué)生發(fā)言,建議采用輪流的方法來(lái)避免這種情況發(fā)生,并在評(píng)估中考慮這一因素。

5.建議教師每隔4個(gè)單元進(jìn)行ー次4級(jí)模擬ロ筆語(yǔ)測(cè)試。全書共有三套模擬試卷,安排

在第4單元、第8單元和第12單元之后。

6.建議一年級(jí)的期末考試ロ筆語(yǔ)并重,二年級(jí)偏重筆試成績(jī)。

7.學(xué)生的自我評(píng)估建議用英語(yǔ)寫,不必每課都做,教師可以根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)踐情況決定評(píng)

估的次數(shù)。

8.“任務(wù)書”和“自我評(píng)估”都在教師用書附帶的光碟中,可以在備課時(shí)復(fù)印好供上課時(shí)使

用。
