中去構(gòu)建真理。巴赫金首次把此隱喻帶入到文學(xué)領(lǐng)域中，意指在一部作品內(nèi)所體 現(xiàn)出來的各自獨立而互不融合的聲音與意識( b a k h t i n1 9 8 4 ：6 ，筆者譯) 。 本研究嘗試將復(fù)調(diào)概念引入翻譯研究。試圖回答以下三個研究問題： 1 復(fù)調(diào)理論可以為翻譯研究帶來什么新視角? 第二章主要討論這個問題。翻 譯活動本身就涉及了多重主體：源語作者、譯者、譯入語讀者等。在翻譯研究的 許多經(jīng)典理論中，如忠實論、等值論、“抵抗式 翻譯等只注重源語( 作者) 的 聲音，忽略譯者的聲音：而目的論又給了譯者無限的自由，為達目的不擇手段， 淹沒了其他主體的聲音。若把翻譯看作是一種復(fù)調(diào)的行為，則譯者與源語作者、 原文角色、前譯者等都有各自的聲音，即不相融、亦不相斥，譯作就是他們共同 發(fā)聲構(gòu)建出和諧樂章的舞臺。 2 復(fù)調(diào)如何體現(xiàn)在翻譯活動中? 第四章通過對比分析u n c l et o m 奢c a b i n 的三 個中譯本( 分別是林紓魏易舊譯本，黃繼忠與張培均的1 9 8 2 年共時譯本) 中的 異質(zhì)話語，展現(xiàn)單一譯本與原文的復(fù)調(diào)及在幾個譯本之間的復(fù)調(diào)現(xiàn)象?！爱愘|(zhì)話 語指的是“話語產(chǎn)生的真實環(huán)境，在這個環(huán)境中，話語擁有自己的生命 ( b a k h t i n 1 9 8 1 ：2 7 2 ，筆者譯) ，即異質(zhì)話語是復(fù)調(diào)產(chǎn)生的環(huán)境。分析異質(zhì)話語有助于更好 地了解翻譯復(fù)調(diào)的產(chǎn)生和體現(xiàn)。本文運用巴赫金的復(fù)調(diào)理論進行文本分析，涉及 到的文本外因素，結(jié)合文化研究成果，在第五章運用亞里士多德的“四因說”盡 可能全面地把握限制和影響翻譯決策與接受的因素以解釋復(fù)調(diào)翻譯產(chǎn)生的原因。 3 用復(fù)調(diào)理論分析翻譯的意義何在? 橫向來說，單一譯者與原作者共同發(fā) 聲，構(gòu)成譯者相對于原作者的復(fù)調(diào)翻譯。縱向來說，譯者與前譯者各自發(fā)聲，構(gòu)
