Thelessonisfromthesection B, unit9ofPEPEnglishbookforjuniorhighschool,grade 7,andthemaintopicisthe passage.Part 2 Analys

3、is of teaching aimsAccordingtothe analysis of teaching material, Isetupthreeteachingaims:knowledgeaims,abilityaimsandmoralaims.First,knowledgeaims:studentscanmasternewwordsandphrases,suchas: artist, crime, criminal and so on. Students are able to master the reading skills. And students can grasp the

4、 general idea of the whole passage and be able to retell the main idea of the passage. Second,ability aims. Students can use the reading skills to complete the reading exercises.Third,moral aims.Let students not judge a person from appearance and students can form the good habits of cooperation。Part

5、 3 Analysis of studentsStudents in junior high school are generally interested in English they have strong curiosity and thirst for knowledge. But they are lack of skills of reading, so they cant get good grades in the reading part.Therefore different activities will be designed in the class.Part4Te

6、achingkeypointsanddifficultpointsBased on the analysis of aims and students, the teaching key points and difficult points are as followings. The key points and difficult points are that students understand the passage and know the words refer to and then know the skills about reading and use the ski

7、lls to complete the exercises.Part 5 Teaching methodsAfter the analysis of teaching key points and difficult points, I will mainly use the communicative method and task-based method as my teaching methods.Part 6 Teaching aidsDuring the procedure,recorder,picture and multi-media will be needed.Part 7

8、 Teaching proceduresAfter talking about teaching aids , I will move on the most important part teaching procedures. Step 1: read words together.I will let students read new words together.Step 2:Warming-up and revision. I will show three pictures about different people and then I will let some stude

9、nts describe them and one of the studentsguesseswhoheorsheis. Step 3 :Word on 2aBefore students complete this exercise,I will play a song about the belling about 110 and let students guess what happened. Maybe students dont know what happened. So I will tell them that there is a criminal running awa

10、y and the police cant find him and they need our help, so we need to read this passage and find out the real criminal.Afterthat,students will complete the chart.I will let students know the meaning of the word opposite.Then I will give students one minute to complete the chart by themselves and then

11、 ask some student to show answers one by one.Atlast,students will read these words together.Step 4 Work on 2b and 2c1.Pre-readingFirst,I will let students guess what the passage talks about according to the title and three pictures. Then I will give students two minutes to read the newspaper article

12、 quickly find the main idea of the newspaper article.Beforestudents completetheseexercises,I will let students pay more attention to the topic sentence ineach paragraph. Students need to translate English into Chinese.I willasksomestudentsshowtheiranswersandthentellus where he finds the main idea.2.

13、While-readingTaskone: Read the passage quickly and find the main idea of each passage.Before students do these exercise, I will let students pay more attention to the topic sentence in each paragragh.Task two: Read the check which picture shows the real criminalStudents read the passage carefully an

14、d find the real criminal and I need students tell me where to find the answer.Taskthree: T/FStudents read statements about the article and write true or False.
