2、pulation,public,team,youth等擁有生命意義的會(huì)集名詞作主語(yǔ)時(shí),若是被看作一個(gè)整體,謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞就用單數(shù)形式;若是被看作一個(gè)個(gè)成員時(shí),則謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞就要用復(fù)數(shù)形式。這類(lèi)詞在使用時(shí),上下文要保持一致。例句中使用的是their,因此主語(yǔ)應(yīng)作復(fù)數(shù)對(duì)待。2.誤:TheUnitedNationswerefoundedin1945.正:TheUnitednationswasfoundedin1945.析:若是主語(yǔ)是某些書(shū)名、報(bào)紙雜志名、地名、組織機(jī)構(gòu)名、建筑名等時(shí),誠(chéng)然這個(gè)名詞可能是以復(fù)數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)的,但是由于它表示的是單個(gè)事物,謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞應(yīng)用單數(shù)形式。3.誤:Thegirlandwinnera
