—VariousBeautiesAtpresent,bothvolunteersandvoluntarygroupsaregrowinginnumbers.Inordertoadvancethedevelopmentofvoluntaryactivitiesespeciallyinareasofjusticeandpeace,anumberofinternationalsocietieshavebeenestablishedandseveralholidayscelebratingvolunteerismhavebeendesignated.Theseorganizationsandspecialholidaysareplayingimportantrolesinfacilitatingthedevelopmentofvolunteerisminternationally.1.InternationalAssociationforVolunteerEffort(IAVE)IAVEisaninternationalnon-governmentalorganizationthatpromotes,celebrates,andstrengthensvolunteerismworldwide.IAVEhasbothindividualandorganizationalmembersinsome80countriesaroundtheworld.IAVEwasfoundedin1970byasmallgroupofwomenfrommanydifferentcountrieswhosharedacommonvision.Theybelievedthatvolunteerscouldcontributesolutionstowardrectifyinghumanandsocialproblems.Furthermoretheybelievedthatvolunteerismwouldbuildbridgesofunderstandingamongpeopleofallnationsandwalksoflife.ThefoundersofIAVErecognizedtheimportanceofinternationalexchange,informationsharing,bestpracticesmodelsandmutualsupportasimportantmeansforencouragingandstrengtheningvolunteerismworldwide.ThefirstIAVEWorldConferencewasheldinthesameyear.IAVEWorldConferenceshavebeenheldeverytwoyearssince1970andmembershiphasgrownsteadily.FromJanuary14thto18th,2001,the16thBiannualWorldVolunteerConferencewasheldinAmsterdam,theNetherlands,andatthisconferencethe“UniversalDeclarationonVolunteering”andthe“GlobalAgendaforAction”wereapproved,givinganoutlineoforientation,vision,goalsandimplementationforvoluntaryservicesinthe21stcentury.2.UnitedNationsVolunteers(UNV)Commitmentwiththerapidriseofvolunteeringallovertheworld,UnitedNationsofficialswereconcernedaboutasteepriseinsocialproblemsworldwide.Inanattempttomatchthegrowingneedwithavailablemanpower,theUNVwascreatedbytheUNGeneralAssemblyin1970.TheUNVisadministeredbytheUnitedNationsDevelopmentProgram.UNVisaspecialoperationspartnerintheUnitedNationssystemandisresponsiblefortheadministrationofmanyactivitiesrelatedtointernationalvolunteering.TheUNVworksincooperationwithgovernments,withcommunitybasedinitiatives,withhumanitarianreliefandrehabilitationefforts,andinsupportofhumanrights,especiallyelectoralandpeace-buildingprocesses.Eachyearabout4,000qualifiedandexperiencedpeoplejointheUNVandprovidevoluntaryservicesinthedevelopingcountries.Inthepast30years,about30,000UNvolunteershavebeendispatchedtoworkinmorethan140countries.3.TheCoordinatingCommitteeforInternationalVolunteerService(CCIVS)TheCCIVSwascreatedin1948undertheaegisofUnitedNationsEducationalScientificandCultureOrganization(UNESCO).ThepurposesofCCIVSaretopursuepeace,preventwarfare,spreadhumanism,reconstructhomesandcoordinatedifferentvolunteergroupstoorganizevoluntaryservices.TheobjectivesofCCIVSare:tofacilitatethepromotionanddevelopmentofamovementofvoluntaryserviceonnational,regionalandinternationallevels;toadvancepeaceandprogressofhumanindividuals;toworkcontinuouslyforbetterunderstandingandfriendshipamongpeoples.4.TheInternationalCommitteeoftheRedCross(ICRC)TheICRCwasestablishedin1863withitsheadquartersinGeneva,Switzerland.ItisahumanitarianorganizationanditinitiatedtheRedCrossandRedMoonMovements.TheICRCshouldersanimportantmission,.tosuperviseandimplementinternationalhumanitarianrules.TheICRCinsistsonajustandunbiasedpositionandworksindifferentplacesintheworldsoastohelpthosewhoareaffectedbyarmedconflictsordomesticturmoil.TheICRCmaintainscommunicationwiththegovernmentsofdifferentcountries.Ithowever,isindependentatalltimesofeveryothergovernmentorauthority.Assistingthevictimsofarmedconflictsandservingthe5.InternationalVolunteersDay(IVD)In1985,theGeneralAssemblyofUnitedNationsnamedDecember5thasInternationalVolunteersDay(IVD).Thepurposeofthedayistoencouragegovernmentsandorganizationstocelebratecontributionsvolunteersmaketotheirsocieties,andtoremindpeoplefromallwalksoflifetoactivelysupportandparticipateinvoluntarywork.Todaymorethan100countriescelebratevolunteerismonthisspecialday.IVDiswidelyacceptedbypeopleasasymbolofinternationalvolunteering.6.InternationalYearofVolunteers(IYV)OnNovember20,1997,the52ndGeneralAssemblyoftheUnitedNationspassedBillNo.52/17,designating2001astheyearofinternationalvolunteers.ThemainpurposeofestablishingIYVwastodeepentheunderstandingofvolunteerismandstimulatevolunteers’creativityandinvolvement.Italsoestablishesanetworkcalculatedtoachievethebestpossibleresultinthefurtherdevelopmentofvoluntarywork.國(guó)際志愿組織與節(jié)日——群星璀璨現(xiàn)在，志愿者及志愿組織的力量日益壯大。為了推動(dòng)志愿事業(yè)的發(fā)展，實(shí)現(xiàn)人類的公正與持久和平，國(guó)際社會(huì)還成立了一系列的國(guó)際志愿組織，確定了一些國(guó)際志愿者的節(jié)日。這些組織與節(jié)日在推動(dòng)志愿服務(wù)的發(fā)展以及國(guó)際交流等方面發(fā)揮著重要的作用。1.國(guó)際志愿者協(xié)會(huì)（InternationalAssociationforVolunteerEffort,IAVE）國(guó)際志愿者協(xié)會(huì)是一個(gè)國(guó)際性的非政府組織，旨在世界范圍內(nèi)推動(dòng)、宣傳并踐行志愿精神，目前在世界80多個(gè)國(guó)家擁有組織成員。IAVE成立于1970年，當(dāng)時(shí)，來(lái)自世界各地的一些婦女認(rèn)為：志愿服務(wù)有利于人類和社會(huì)問(wèn)題的解決，是不同國(guó)家和不同階層之間溝通的橋梁。國(guó)際交流對(duì)志愿實(shí)踐的幫助以及志愿服務(wù)對(duì)弘揚(yáng)志愿精神的突出貢獻(xiàn)，使她們決定成立國(guó)際志愿者協(xié)會(huì)，并于當(dāng)年召開(kāi)了第一次IAVE世界大會(huì)。隨后，IAV
